Asha Bhosle Paired with Brett Lee in a Song

Benevolent singer of India, Asha Bhosle has recorded a song paired with Australian speed star bowler Brett Lee. It happed when Lee was touring India with his team during the Champions Trophy. In the duet, both of them voiced in the lyrics Haan Mein Tumhara Hoon. I am quoting some lines regarding this news from an Undercover report:

Indians are mad about their cricket and their Bollywood song and dance spectaculars. These pursuits united when occasional musician and reportedly "second fastest bowler in the world" Brett Lee recorded a song with Indian playback singer extraordinaire Asha Bhosle.

The pair recorded a duet in Hindi and English called 'Haan Mein Tumhara Hoon' when Lee was in India for the Champions Trophy in late 2006. The cheeky, romantic song appears on her latest album 'Asha & Friends'.

The 73 year old Bhosle, who is often credited with singing over 12,000 songs, will also team with cult string jazz experimentalists Kronos Quartet and Chinese pipa player Wu Man for a handful of Australian performances. Drawing together their skills from London, Mumbai, California and New York, the collaborative project will showcase Bollywood classics and Bhosle's hits at the Sydney Opera House on March 9 and 10.

They will also appear at the world music extravaganza of WOMADelaide in Botanic Park, Adelaide, which stretches over three days from March 9 to 11.

It seems that Australia and India are going to share their own culture which is a positive side. Anyway, I hope with cricket, people of both the countries will share some other aspects of their culture.
