Abhishek's Gaining weight and Losing weight

In Abhishek’s latest movie, Guru, Abhishek is playing the character of a successful businessman. For this character, it was necessary for Abhishek to gain weight and he ate all his favorite dishes every day . One day, he even ate ten Rasgullas(A kind of sweet; very popular in Bengal). I am quoting from the report published in apunkachoice.com:

Putting on ten kilograms was certainly not an easy feat for Abhishek Bachchan .

But when you are working in a Mani Ratnam film, you have to give your best. So did Abhi while playing a villager with a big vision in Guru.

As the film’s story spans a period of forty years in the life of the protagonist, Abhishek had to don various looks. The villager he plays was supposed to look lean. But Guru, the successful businessman, was required to look overweight.

Like a true professional, Abhi agreed to put on weight for the role and Mani Ratnam made sure that the actor regularly got delicious food and other dishes to gorge on while shooting.

For sometime Abhishek had to forget all about dieting and exercise. Aishwarya had to do the same. However, they both had to shed their weights for their next film Dhoom:2.

Gaining weight for any character in the movie is not very uncommon. You remember the movie Monster (2003)? Actress Charlize Theron had to put up thirty pounds of weight to portray the central character of the movie, Aileen Wuornos, a prostitute and a serial killer. The good part of the story is that gaining weight is very easy. All you have to do is just sit and eat all the foods you like but losing that weight you have to spend so much time in the gym. Really SUCKS DUDE!!!
