Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Received Best Atress Award at Fifth Annual Central European Bollywood Awards

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has received the Best Actress award for her excellent performance in Mani Ratman directed Guru at the Fifth Annual Central European Bollywood Awards. This is the first award Aishwarya received for the movie Guru. The actress expressed her happiness for the award and termed it a ‘double celebration’ as Guru received five awards in different categories, being nominated in 14.

Nashik.cityupdates reported:

An elated Aishwarya Rai told a newspaper, “I am happy to be honored by Annual Central European Bollywood Awards. It’s like double celebration for me as my film Guru too has won Five Awards in different categories.”

It might have been a triple celebration for the Bollywood beauty if her hubby Abhishek Bachchan could bag the Best Actor award for his excellent acting in the male lead role of the movie. Farah Khan directed Om Shanti Om has been awarded as the Best Movie.

Aishwarya Rai could not bag any major award this year before this Best Actress award from Fifth Annual Central European Bollywood Awards. Kareena Kapoor has been the most highlighted actress in the award giving ceremonies of this year for her excellent performance in Imtiaz Ali directed Jab We Met. However, Kareena could not defeat Aishwarya here at the Fifth Annual Central European Bollywood Awards.
