Deepika Padukone has already become a star in Bollywood even before the release of her debut film ‘Om Shanti Om.’ Born to former Badminton world champion Prakash Padukone, Deepika also started playing Badminton in her childhood. She was also following the feat of her father as she reached at the state level even before finishing high school. Deepika took a 3 month brake from the Badminton court while she was in 10th grade because of her upcoming exam.
That was the end of her Badminton career. Deepika started modeling for different brand and came into lime light with her impressive performances in television advertisement and on the ramp. Lots of offers from movie makers started coming and at last, Deepika made it to the big screen through the Kannada language film ‘Aishwarya’ against popular actor Upendra.
After the success of ‘Aishwarya’, Deepika is making her Bollywood debut through the Farah Khan movie ‘Om Shanti Om’ where she plays against Shah Rukh Khan. No doubt, she has the potential to become a top actress in Bollywood. The movie has already become a hit in the box office. What is more important is that Deepika Padukone has earned lots of hype in the media which will help her to rise to stardom overnight. So, it seems that once Badminton player is going to rock in Hindi film industry.
