Jab We Met Cast Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in Punjabi Roles

Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming movie Jab We Met cast Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in two Punjabi characters. Shahid plays Aditya and Kareena appears as Geet. Interestingly both of their ancestors came from Punjab. Karrena’s father Randhir Kapoor and Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapoor are from Punjab. However, neither Shahid Kapoor nor Kareena Kapoor had any early experience of acting in Punjabi role.

Business of India reported:
Remarks director Imtiaz Ali, "While Aditya and Geet are essentially metropolitan, the moment they reach Punjab in the film, one can see their true north-Indian colours with Shahid in his pathani-style kurta-pyjama and Kareena in her salwar-kameez. Both of them were looking forward to playing Punjabi characters for the first time, and were in fact, even shooting a film in Punjab for the first time."

Jab We Met is set to release on 26 October. The movie is expected to do well in the box office. Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor is reported to have personal relationship. However, the recent news is that they relationship is now about to break up. However, fans love to see Shahid- Kareena charisma more and more. The success of the movie Jab We Met will decide if Shahid-Kareena pair to be seen in any further Bollywood movie in future.
