Amitabh Bachchan to be the Bollywood Spokesman in Britain

Amitabh Bachchan has been reportd to be the spokesman of Bollywood to UK. Recently, British Finance minister Gordon Brown visited India and that time both Amitabh and Brown meet at the Yash Raj Film. They have talked about the probable co-operation between the film industries of the two countries. Mr. Brown has offered Big B to work in UK and has assured him to give enough facility to the Bollywood movies to be filmed in UK. Indiafm reported:

“Laughs the Big B, "Yes, we did meet at Yashraj Studio. Though this isn't the first time that Chancellor Brown and I met. He has on other occasions asked me to be part of charitable and social global endeavours, and I've gladly done whatever I could."

"I don't know about that. But yes, he did watch Kajra re. After that we had a fairly detailed discussion. Chancellor Brown wants to extend the parameters of our collaboration with Great Britain. He wants to provide further incentives and facilities to our film industry for shooting in England."

What the Big B desists from stating is that Gordon Brown has zeroed in on the actor as Bollywood's primary ambassador to the UK, and is in the process of formulating ambitious plans to further Indian cinema's reach in Britain.

The Big B reiterates, "Yes, there was a closed-door meeting after the screening of Kajra re. I am certainly willing to represent our industry in every way that I can." People at the Gordon Brown event commented on the glow on the Big B's face. "The glow, as you call it, comes from the fact that my son has made such an impact in Guru and that he's getting married."

This will be a win-win situation for both the country as Bollwood will get technological help from Britain and Britain will be known to the huge population of India which will help Britain to generate a huge amount of money.

Rahul Roy Becoems the Winner of India’s Big Brother Reality Television Show

Rahul Roy has been the winner of Big Brother, a reality television show based in India. He has got the prize money of 50 lakh from the show. The show is a copy of UK based Big Brother. The Indian’s Big Brother is hosted by Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi. Rahul Roy is very much delighted with his performance. Times TV reported:

Rahul Roy won on the basis of maximum public votes supporting him. Along with the pre-decided undisclosed amount the actor walked away with Rs 50 lakh prize money. Arshad Warsi, the host of the Indian version of UK’s Big Brother gave away the prize to the winner.

A "stunned" Rahul admitted that the going was not easy inside the house, in the three-month stay, but attributed his success to the Almighty and his Guruji.

Bigg Boss started three months back with 13 known faces from Bollywood and glamour, definitely not from the A-list. Each week one participant got evicted by public vote from the show.

Rahul Roy is not that much popular among the actors of Bollywood. This honor may be a turning point in his acting career. Now, only time can give the answer if he can use this honor in increasing his popularity in the industry.

Amitabh Bachchan to Be Honored with Highest Civilian Award of France

Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is now going to reach another heirght as he has been selected to be honored with Legion d'honneur, the highest civilian honor of France which was introduced by the Napoleon Bonaparte about two century ago. This old actor is still competing with the present time actor of Bollywood. Amitabh is very much proud of this honor. Monsterstandcritics reported:

The award was conferred on the 64-year-old actor for his 'contribution to Indian and international cultural life' by the French ambassador Dominique Girard in New Delhi on Saturday night, the NDTV network reported.

'I am truly humbled by the honour. I consider the honour not as a personal achievement, rather a recognition of the manifold achievements of Indian cinema, which I have had the privilege of being associated with for over three decades,' Bachchan said at the ceremony.

Bachchan had arrived for the event accompanied by his family including his son, Bollywood heart-throb Abhishek Bachchan and would-be daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai, a former Miss World.

'We chose Amitabh Bachchan for the honour because we always have respect and esteem for world-class artists. He is a milestone in the history of the Indian entertainment industry,' said Girard.

Legion d'honneur was instituted in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte to reward eminent military and civil merits in the service of France, and is the highest distinction that can be conferred to a French citizen or foreigner.

Among the eminent Indian personalities to have received the honour are film-maker Satyajit Ray in 1987 and environmentalist RK Pachauri in July 2006.

Bachchan, popularly known as Big B, is a national icon who has dominated Indian cinema since he quit his job as a freight broker in Calcutta and joined Bollywood over three decades ago.

Bachchan has survived two life-threatening illnesses and has acted in more than 140 films.

BBC Online voted him 'star of the millenium' above such Hollywood legends as Sir Lawrence Olivier and Charlie Chaplin.

This is a matter of great honor for Bollywood and this will definitely an achievement for both Big B and Amitabh Bachchan. I like to see him going for much more way in his career.

Arya Babbar Not Gets Any Help from His Father Raj Babbar

Arya Babbar is not a popular actor of Bollywood. However, his latest movie Guru has been successful and now ruling the box office. In the movie he played a small and insignificant role where he had barely any chance to be acclaimed or criticized. So the movie Guru can not be a turning point in his acting career. He recently talked about his acting career. He thinks he has come to this position by his own talent, where the actor image of his father did not help him. His interview was published in India Times Movies report:

You career didn’t take off very well, with Ab Ke Baras (2002) and Mudda: The Issue (2003) both failing at the box-office.
“I started off when I was just 19; it was a bit too early. After my initial films didn’t do well, I decided to take some time off for myself. I devoted my time to theatre. I did all sorts of work in it - backstage, supporting roles, small roles, etc. I also attended a few editing, cinematography workshops abroad. It was a grooming period for me.”

Did you have second thoughts about choosing ‘acting’ as a career after tasting failure too early?
“Obviously I did. You do get these thoughts about trying out something else, once you face failure. But you have to keep trying until you get it right.”

Despite being a star kid, the industry hasn’t been kind enough.
“What matters in the industry is your potential. I was a star kid only till 2002. Since then it has been my struggle. Frankly, I was never brought into the limelight as such by my family. My dad has not helped me professionally.”

After your unsuccessful start you chose to make a comeback with Guru, where you played a second fiddle to Abhishek! Comment.
“In fact I played a third fiddle in Guru (laughs). You can say I played safe. Guru is a Mani Ratnam film. He is a director par excellence and just being a part of his film meant everything to me. Also times are changing and today’s audiences don’t want a hero, they want entertainment.”

As an actor his father had popularity in Bollywood and Arya Babbar was also a star child. I think, acting is an art where one can not flourish without having any talent or potential. So, an actor father cannot help much to his son to get a place in the industry. What Arya Babbar should do now is to concentrate more on acting whatever the role is.

Abhishek’s Film Dorna Experienced the Death of a Horse during Its Shooting Making NGOs Angry

Abhishek Bachchan’s film ‘Dorna’ has been in the news after the death of a horse during the shooting. Now NGOs are indicating cruelty against the animal in the movie. Goldie Behl directed movie Dorna will be stared by Abhishek Bachchan, his mother Jaya Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra. This is the first time Abhishek will be appeared with his mother Jaya Bachchan in the same movie. IBN Live reported:

Two NGOs are protesting after a horse died during the shoot of Behl’s film Drona on Thursday.

People for Animal and Society of Prevention to Cruelty to Animals claim the body of the horse was buried without a postmortem.

The film, which stars Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra, was being shot in Kolayath in Bikaner when the incident happened.

There is no clear explanation about the incident of the horse’s death. I think it is really needed to investigate the matter thoroughly in order to find out the reason of such incident.

Abhishek and Aishwarya Marriage Coming Soon?

The much waited marriage ceremony is now, for sure, of Abhishek and Aishwarya’s marriage which has created the attention of international level beyond the Bollywood. Now the million dollar question is that when the couple will get married. Though there is no specific answer but there is a rumor that the occasion will be held by March. Recently the couple has been engaged and became the topic of hot news in this year. Channulal Mishra, a classical singer from Varansi, said that he has been invited in the ceremony on the occasion of their marriage to perform. A Santabanta reported:

Amithabh Bachchan said that he wanted to organise a programme on the occasion of the wedding of Abhishek and Aishwarya. He said the date for the wedding was not fixed, but I have come to know that it will be sometime in March," Mishra said.

Families of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai on Monday said that both had got engaged at a private ceremony. Abhishek reportedly placed a diamond ring on Aishwarya's finger.

Speculation of a formal link gained ground after both families visited several temples to pray for them, as their stars were reportedly not in harmony.

Reports of an impending marriage were earlier fuelled after Ajitabh Bachchan, the younger brother of Amitabh, who met a Bangalore based astrologer Chandrashekhar Swami, to see if the couple's horoscopes matched.

The planets also seem to be blessing the couple. They were declared to be perfect by matched by the astrologer.

It is really the most talked issue in Bollywood at the moment. People are eagerly waiting for the date of their marriage. Who knows, when the two super stars will be got married. Only time can answer it.

Vidya Malvade to be seen with Shah Rukh Khan in a Yash Raj Film Chak De India

participated in a television advertisement of Hyundai. However, acting in the film named Chak De India, she got some excellent experience and she has been a khan fan already. A Rediff news included her speech regarding her experience of the movie with Shah Rukh Khan:

King Khan seems to have won another fan in Vidya after the shoot. "It was an amazing experience. We worked together briefly for the Santro ad. Now after having spent a couple of months with him, I realise why he is a superstar. The level of detail -- character, camera angles, makeup -- to which he goes during a shot is unbelievable. You have to work with him and others to feel the difference."

It seems that as a new actress in the industry Vidya has got some excellent chances to work with super star Shah Rukh Khan. Now it is yet to see if she can make the chance a boost in her career.

Karan Johar and Samir Nair may Join into NDTV Following Kaun Banega Crorepati and Koffee with Karan

Karan Johar may join into a new entertainment television channel of NDTV. Now Karan is busy with his second episode Koffee with Karan for the star channel. It has been reported that Star Channel’s two most popular television show Kaun banega Crorepati hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar hosted Koffee with Karan will be followed by NDTV and Karan and Samir Nair will also join with NDTV’s newly entertainment channel. Indiafm reported:

How can that be? My relationship with Star during the first season of Koffee has been fantastic. At the same time my association with NDTV is my future on television. Let's see how it goes. I don't want to jump the gun and make plans for the future. Koffee with Karan is a Star brand-show," says Karan currently in Dubai promoting Koffee.

As for Sameer Nair's move into NDTV. "Pranoy Roy who's the man behind NDTV is a great visionary. I'm proud to be part of NDTV. As for Samir, he's a tremendously intelligent man. He has proven himself time and again in the world of television. And I'm sure he'll be a winner in whatever he does."

Fatigued, he brightens as he watches his closest friend Shah Rukh on the first episode of the new KBC. "I haven't been on the set to watch him shoot. But I did his clothes on KBC. I just hope my Koffee matches up to the high standards set by shah Rukh. We've put in our best. This time around I'm far more relaxed with the format. I'm hoping I'm less worried with my guests. I'm no longer a debutant."

"Television is the future. Anyone in the visual media is advised to take the plunge. I'm happy to have my talk show on one channel and the privilege of making software for another channel. I was lucky to get the opportunity to get into TV ahead of my colleagues. And that NDTV, a channel I really respect, considered me good enough for their entertainment channel is really flattering for me. Because at the end of the day, I’m not a TV person. I'm a filmmaker."

"Even before he became a superstar in the movies he was a well-known name on television. So he's come a full circle. Shah Rukh is an entertainer and a warm, emotional human being. That combination will succeed tremendously in KBC. I've seen how he interacts with all his loyal fans. Shah Rukh is very confident on television. As for me I want to entertain on both television and in cinema. I'm full of ideas."

"Whatever they want me to do on NDTV I'll do for them. But tele-films? Nooooo! I don't think so. The two mediums are totally exclusive. Television is for talk shows, game shows etc. I'll make feature films only for the big screen. I'll make software for NDTV. With Shah Rukh doing television that sense of television being cinema's poor cousin is gone. If you ask me, my brand value has tripled after my talk show on television. More people want to see my films because they see me on television. It's a communication medium of instant gratification. I love it. But cinema is my first love. I've enough time to take care of both mediums. As a filmmaker, I've my own directorial venture this year. Then there's my associate Tarun's film and an animation film. There's lots of room for television. I've learnt one thing from my father. Never put your feet up. How can they be up? They should always be on the ground for walking. There's always time to do more.

It is a good idea of Karna Johar. If he appears more in television then it will help Karan to be in touch of people and will attract more fans for his movies.

Amitabh Bachchan to be Awarded the Prestigious Legion d'Honour

Amitabh Bachchan, the legend of Bollywood, is going to be honored with the prestigious award Legion d'Honour on 27 of January. The awar giving ceremony will be held in Delhi. Almost all members of his family are expected to be with him that time including his would be sister-in-law Aishwarya Rai. In his recent speech he talked about the Abhishek-Aishwarya marriage and his happiness over the things seen in the last year. Mumbai Mirror reported Big B’s speech:

He further adds, "I feel very happy with all that has happened in my life this year. Abhishek's decision to settle down in life was good. All Jaya's and my prayers are with him and Aishwarya." Talking about the wedding date he says, "We haven't confirmed any date as yet." But the date will be fixed soon.

Bachchan is overwhelmed by the recent honour that he has been bestowed with. "It's being done at the French embassy and they're also screening the Oscar-winning French film March Of The Penguins. It's an incredible piece of art. We know so little about the behaviour of the penguins. The film's director Luc Jacquet will also be coming. We'll first release the DVD, and then the film will be shown. I've given the commentary in both English and Hindi. For American audiences the English commentary had been done by Morgan Freeman. But for India they wanted me for both languages. After the screening of the film, we'll move to another section of the embassy for the award," says Bachchan.

It seems that Mr. Bachchan is going through some of his best time in his lifetime. Getting a daughter-in-law like Aishwarya and competing with the son-like actors in the industry is rally something beyond one’s expectation. Go on Mr. Bachchan.

Who is Better, Shah Rukh Khan or Amitabh Bachchan

Kaun Banega Crorepati has been started with its new host Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan. Initially the popular television show was hosted by Bollywood legend Big B named Amitabh Bachchan. As both of them are super stars, it is inevitable to see making comparison between the two most popular figures of Bollywood. However, the comparison made by different person in their own view differs from person to person and the initial response of this first episode of the movie after it resumed was a mixture of both positive and negative points. BBC reported:

One viewer, Avanti Shah, told the BBC she found him more enjoyable and entertaining to watch than Bachchan.

"He seems more approachable, as if he is one of us while Amitabh Bachchan would seem very intimidating.

"He rapped a few lines in Bengali when the contestant asked him to, he spoke to another contestant in Tamil to put him at ease and I think he is great! I am definitely watching it tomorrow," she said.

Usha Vaidyanathan said he should take up presenting full time: "He is definitely better dressed than Amitabh Bachchan. I think he should give up acting."

Men, however, seem to think differently.

"He lacks the charisma of Amitabh Bachchan," said Vinay Kanodia.

And Ashok Ganapathy said the show was clearly aimed at women and the younger generation.

"There is an energy he brings to the show no doubt, but he doesn't have the presence of Amitabh Bachchan. His attempts at reaching out to the contestants such as giving a high-five, hugging anyone who doesn't want to play the game any more and even giving back massages seem childish.

"Also, it seemed like an overdose of Shah Rukh Khan because during the advertisement breaks, more than half the ads featured him! I am not sure I am watching it again."

Yet the show is quite different from before, says Siddharth Basu, whose company Synergy Communications is producing it.

"This KBC is different because it has SRK [Shah Rukh Khan] as anchor. The whole texture is playful, youthful and outgoing because he is like that," Mr Basu said.

He said the actor was quite "engaged and involved" when he joined as anchor.

"He does a lot of his own script writing," Mr Basu said. "He is very proactive and that is good because for an anchor, because there is acting involved, a little bit of drama is as important. An anchor needs to think on his feet and with Shah Rukh, he is riding on wings."

Mr Basu said the previous anchor, Amitabh Bachchan, was an "awesome" host.

"He was inimitable, his gravitas did a lot for the show and he was eloquent in both Hindi and English. He was a meticulous person who prepared in great detail before coming on the set and he had great style and substance."

On the other hand, Mr Basu said, Shah Rukh Khan is perfect to draw in younger audiences.

"He has an undisputed sway over the young as well as female audiences and he can charm them in a major way. From the basic feedback that I have, the show has had a huge response from younger people and women who want to participate in the show from the time he's taken over."

To tell the truth, it is a very tough task to say who does well, Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan as both of them are established in Bollywood and have millions of fans. A fan can not even think about anybody except his or her dream star. So, it is better to say that they both are well enough to host such a show.

Filmfare’s Top Ten List of Powerful Figures in Bollywood for 2006

America’s Local fanzine Filmfare have recently published a list of ten powerful names where Yash Chopra is regarded as the most powerful and influential person in Bollywood in the last year. It is undoubtedly true that most of the super hit movies of 2006 was either produced or distributed or both by the most popular production house, Yash Raj Films, owned by famous personality Yash Chopra. The list also involves the Kins Khan named Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, legend Amitabh Bachchan. Among the directors Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Karan Johar have been placed at the list. Rani Mukherjee is the only actress who is included in the list. Money Control reported:

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, stays at the No 3 spot, while in the women department, only Rani Mukherji manages to get some female power into the top ten on the list.

When Bollywood's bigwigs were asked who they felt deserved to be at the top spot this year, their replies almost sounded like a chorus.

"Brand Yashraj - what they have done to Indian cinema is fantastic. They have contributed to the exhibition, distribution, music, production: on every level this year, they have gone out there and proven themselves,” said filmmaker Karan Johar.

"Yash Chopra," chirped Rani Mukherji.

"Yashraj - They are in every field of filmmaking. They have covered every aspect of it: production, direction, financing and all,” said filmmaker Kunal Kohli.”

Yash Chopra was, for sure, the most powerful figure in Bollywood last year. Dhoom 2 and Faana, the two super hit movies of 2006 was produced and distributed by Yash Raj Films. Besides, Krrish, one of the most successful movies of Bollywood, was distributed by Yash Raj Films. So, it is very clear that Yash Raj was the super star in Bollywood last year.

A Class Actors and Actresses not Interested to Take Part in Movies Based on HIV/AIDS

Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, four short movies on HIV/AIDS are going to be made in India and set to be released with the blockbuster movies. Each of the movies will be of 15 minutes and will be shown just before a blockbuster movie to be released. Four famous directors of India have been assigned in this regard. Mira Nair, Santosh Sivan, Farhan Akthar and Vishal Bhardwaj are the four directors who are going to make movies on HIV/AIDS. The objective of this movie project is to increase awareness regarding the disease among the general people. I am quoting Mira Nair from a Reuters report:

"The idea is to piggyback on blockbusters to spread AIDS awareness," Nair said at a news conference in a country that has the world's largest population living with the deadly virus.

"We want to use cinema (against AIDS) so that it holds a mirror to the world and gets under your skin."

However, getting A class actors or actress for these movies has been a great difficulty as many actors and actresses are not interested to be involved in such movies being feared of loosing their image. The report stated:

Nair, who is making one of the 12-minute films which will be titled "Migration", said she had been unable to get A-list Bollywood actors to feature in the films on AIDS.

"Lots of stars don't want to be associated with the virus," the feisty director said, adding: "Some live and don't learn."

"We do not want to preach but entertain. Once you start preaching and teaching, people get bored," Bhardwaj said.

The directors are hoping the movies will be released in cinemas within a few months, and Nair said the initial response from distributors had been positive.

Two of the short movies would be in Hindi while the other two would be in south Indian languages like Tamil, a press statement about the AIDS Jaggo (Wake up to AIDS) initiative said.

According to UNAIDS, India has 5.7 million people living with HIV/AIDS and stigma and prejudice is widespread.

Many people, including some federal lawmakers, believe that a person can get HIV by shaking hands with an infected person, surveys have shown.

Though there were some movies in Bollywood made on HIV/AIDS, none of them was box office hit. It is a good initiative for protecting this vital disease from the second most populated country. As India has a huge population, it will be very difficult to control the number of HIV/AIDS patients if once the number goes out of control. So, this is the best time to think about it and take such initiatives to keep the control over the number of HIV/AIDS patients and it is the earnest responsibility of each Indian people to help government in preventing such disease. Here, celebrities should come forward as people can be easily influenced by his or her dream personality. So, from this point of view, each actor and actress should come forward with their generous mentality. If Bill and Melinda Gates, two Americans, can come forward in order to help India, then it is shameful to see that an India are scared of talking part in this great initiative.

Shah Rukh Khan Working Hard to be Well-fitted in Kaun Banega Crorepati

The speculation whether Shah Rukh Khan can show the same magic as Big B Amitabh Bachchan showed in the popular TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati, a quiz based television show. The show became very popular and got a huge hit in India with its first host Amitabh Bachchan. However, he had to quit his job in 2005 after being seriously ill and from then on the show remain stopped. Recently Shah Rukh Khan was offered the post of Big B and Bollywood King accepted it. Now from today the show is going to be on air. So, the million dollar question is now, whether Shah Rukh Khan can perform as he is used to do in the movie and can show more magic that Amitabh Bachchan. Indiaglitz reported:

I’m definitely not early to bed and early to rise, but yes, I’m healthy and wealthy,” said Shahrukh Khan in a Morning newspaper today as he gears up for his foray on television again with ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. He has been working hard to meet the challenge of trying-to-fit into Mr Bachchan’s shoes (the earlier superstar host of KBC).

The usually unflappable SRK is of the opinion that the SMSs that have been published in newspapers where people have commented about his capabilities in disparaging terms hasn’t gone down too well with the superstar. The scorpion in him is determined to put the speculation to rest as he gets on the hot seat today with the rollover contestant Prasanjit Sarkar from KBC 2 today.

Though it is a big question and can not be answered until it is telecasted, one can easily bet on Shah Rukh Khan just considering his glorious acting career.

Would Shah Rukh Surpass Amitabh Bachchan in Kaun Banega Crorepati

Ahead of the resuming of popular television show “Kaun Banega Crorepati” sponsored by Star Plus, Shah Rukh Khan is coming with his new job of hosting the show. Though the show was first hosted by Big B Amitabh Bachchan, it is now all about Shah Rukh Khan. So, the analysis between the two Bollywood stars has been started with full stream. About three months ago Shah Rukh Khan starrer Don was released while he played the leading role of Don. The movie was a remake of Don (1978) where Amitabh was the protagonist.

Moneycontrol reported:

Amitabh Bachchan began it at the age of 58, which also happened to be his debut on the small screen. SRK takes the rein, when he is just 41 and it's not his first TV career also. He has already tasted it with Fauji, when he was just 24, and then again with Circus.

Big B had a lot at stake when he took the hot seat. His career was flagging then and his finances in the doldrums in the wake of the collapse of ABCL. KBC resurrected not only his popularity, in fact it brought in a complete turnaround to his career and fortunes.

SRK does not face any such challenge. Rather, he steps into the show when his career is at the pinnacle and if at all people are calling it a big bargain, it's because he risks losing some of his fame, if not fortune, just in case he fails to live up to expectations. But SRK being SRK, it's not only mushkil (difficult) to write him off so easily, it's namunkin (impossible) too!

One score where, many suspect, SRK might slip is the stature and the demi-god image of Big B, which had added an element of reverence and awe to the show. There were occasions when contestants would proclaim that more than their crorepati dreams, it was their longing to be in the company of the Big B which brought them to KBC.

SRK is no demi-god, but then King Khan does carry the charm and appeal that can only be second to that of Big B's. And if Big B was reverence personified, SRK packages all the 'fun and energy', something that is likely to go extremely well with the young. So, it maybe that SRK might bring in a change in the audience profile, but that may not mean lower TRP at all.

It cannot be said before whether Shah Rukh will be able to take the show out of the Bachchan’s image. However, it is true that the show itself has a big attraction in the market but is it really possible to ignore the host’s performance in such a show specially after being started with the legend like Amitabh Bachchan. I hope, the show will get its own image and people will enjoy it.

Akshaye Khanna to be Inspired by His Next Movie Salaam E Ishq

Akshaye Khanna is one of the stars of Nikhil Advani’s next film Salaam E Ishq which is going to be released in 25th January. Akshaye plays the role of Shiven, a lover suffering from commitment-phobic. He will be seen against popular actress Ayesha Takia. In the movie Shiven is seen hesitating to take the decision over his marriage with his loving person Gia (played by Ayesha Takia). Akshaye himself is a bachelor in real life. However, after playing the role in the movie, he is now realizing about the matter. Bollywoodpremier reported his speech:

Like any normal human being, I would also want to fall in love again. After being in a relationship, it really feels bad to be single. I don't think one can ever predict one's love life. But I am in no hurry.

Akshaye has given the credit to director Nikhil Advani for this excellent movie. He became astonished having observed Nikhil’s words in the movie.

Though it is movie and there is afar difference between a movie and real life. However, it is yet to see to what extent Akshaye Khanna would be inspired by the movie.

Popular Model Kushal Tandon to be Appeared in Bollywood Movie

Kushal Tandon, the popular Indian model is going to seek his fate in Bollywood. He has been model for many products of various national and multinational companies successfully. It has been reported that he will be appeared in a movie directed by Raj Kanwar. Regarding such a news I am quoting some lines from a Indiaglitz report:

Model Kushal Tandon is a well known face with an assortment of big advertisements like Sony Ericsson, Skoda, Activia, Airtel, Dairy Milk, Eva Deodorant, Only Vimal Reid & Taylor (with Amitabh Bachchan), Kawasaki Bajaj etc. Tandon has also walked the ramp and appeared on fashion shows like Lakme Fashion Week, shows for Provogue, Spykar, Giodarno etc.

I think, it will not be so easy for this youngman to contrinue his success in Bollywood unless he has no pre-experience or training of acting. I hope he will be able to overcome all obstacles he will face in future.

Sanjay Dutt’s Next Sentencing Date Set to Be on February 6

Sanjay Dutt’s scheduled sentencing will again resume next month as the sentencing has not been completed. This benevolent actor of Bollywood was convicted of buying arms from a gangster group who were accused of operating a serial bombing in 1993 in Mumbai 257 lives. Sanjay is a busy actor of Bollywood and is very popular for playing gangster type roles on screens. However, he has showed his acting talent and potential in his acting career. It is noteworthy that he spent a year in jail in 1995 and since then he is on bail. I am quoting some lines from a Reuters report:

Our arguments on Sanjay Dutt's punishment remained incomplete today and they will resume on February 6," the actor's lawyer, Karan Singh, told Reuters on Thursday.

Lawyers for Dutt -- who found film fame playing gangsters and anti-heroes -- urged that he be set free for his good behaviour during his bail, citing a 1958 law which allows certain convicts to be given probation.

The anti-terrorism court found 100 people guilty in connection with the blasts, most of them Muslims, in one of the world's longest-running trials. It is expected to hand down sentences later in January.

Another 23 people were acquitted.

Police say the attacks were plotted by India's most wanted man, Dawood Ibrahim, to avenge the razing of a mosque by Hindu zealots.

Sanjay Dutt is a great actor undoubtedly and still has a lot to show to his fans on the screen. However, law is same to all and it judges all the people of a country on the same level. So, if there is any guilty proved against him then he might be treated by the existing law but it should be assured that before proclaiming the verdict all the related matter has been gone through thoroughly.

Year 2006: So Many Unexpected Events in Bollywood

Hrithik Roshan has produced two mostly praised blockbuster hit movies in 2006. One is Krrish and another one is Dhoom 2. This was something beyond anybody’s expectation that Hrithik can surpass Shah Rukh Khan, a top ranked actor of Bollywood. Though Shah Rukh Khan has also presented two hit movies, however, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Don was not enough to Krrish and Dhoom 2. So, this year will be remembered for many years for an unexpected rising of Hrithik. There are some other reasons for which this year should be remembered. This year has been the win-win situation for the sequel based movies. Hrithik’s both the blockbuster movie was sequel and another hit movie of this year Lage Raho Munna Bhai was also the sequel of its first movie Munna Bhai MBBS.

For many years Sanjay Dutt has entered in the top five actors list this year through his hit movie Lage Raho Munna Bhai. There was also a change seen in the list of top actresses. Here for the last two years the competition was based on Rani and Preeti Zinta, but this year new actresses like Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopa has come into the light while Preeti definitely lost her place.

It is nice to see that new stars are coming and taking the place with their own performance. Thus they can throw challenges to the old stars who are much more experienced than the new stars. I hope old stars will also give their full effort to regain their position.
