Priyanka Chopra Introduced to the British Audience

Stone Martindale has introduced Bollywood’s new sensation Priyanka Chopra in Monsters and Critics.com.

Meet Priyanka Chopra, Bollywood's next babe- this is the report and here she has talked different aspects of Priyanka Chopra. Stone Martindale wrote:

Priyanka Chopra is a native of Jamshedpur, a city of Jharkhand state of India. Her parents are both doctors. Chopra spent some of her childhood in Uttar Pradesh. She also studied in United States Newton North High School, in Newton, Massachusetts and John F. Kennedy High School (Cedar Rapids) in Iowa.

No surprise, like most Bolly babes, she is a brainy beauty and excelled in her studies. Her beauty was so that it lured her away from her college studies into competition for the Miss India 2000 title which she won.

Chopra's beauty was the lure for producers to cast her in a Tamil film named ‘Thamizhan’ directed by Ravichandran where she played the role of Priya in 2002.

Priyanka won the Filmfare Best Debut Award in 2003.

The report is full of admiration for Priyanka Chopra. Well, Stone Martindale failed to mention that Priyanka was not very successful in the box office until 2006.

Esha Deol likes Work with Female Directors

Esha Deol is a very popular actress in Bollywood. She is hot and beautiful and most of all very popular. She just finished working with Meghna Gulzar and the movie "Just Married" is a good one in Bollywood standard.

IHT reported:

Indian actress Esha Deol says she is thrilled to work for the first time with a female director in her new movie "Just Married" about arranged marriages, a news report said Tuesday.

Arranged marriages are common in India, where relatives and friends often help set up meetings between couples that often lead to marriage.

The movie is being directed by Meghna Gulzar, daughter of prominent Bollywood director and lyricist Gulzar, who uses one name. It is based on a short story and deals with issues faced by couples in arranged marriages.

"It's generally said that men can bring out the best performance from a woman ... but somewhere deep down, only a woman knows what a woman goes through," The Times of India newspaper quoted Deol as saying.

Well, I am sure that many actresses would love to see more female directors and producers in Bollywood. Sometimes, we hear rumors of actresses having to spend some quality time with producers and directors for getting roles in the movies.

Sushmita Sen wants to get Married

Sushmita Sen is now 31 and single. She may be one of the most attractive actresses in Bollywood and one of most desirable women in India but she is not a very happy woman in her personal life. She had no success in her love life so far and this is not a good thing for any woman no matter what kind of a hot celebrity she is. So, Sushmita Sen is now thinking of marriage more seriously than ever before.

Financial Express wrote:

Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen says she believes in fate and is confident she eventually will find the right man to marry.

"I have always craved for marriage," a newspaper quoted her as saying. "I've always been a home-lover despite living a very public life."

I have serious doubt about her finding the right man. Well, people of like Sushmita Sen have very superficial notion about love and marriage. So, it will take time and failure for her to understand who is the right man. Anyway, all the best to Sushmita Sen .

Syd Field: Bollywood Songs Are Distractions

Syd Field is a top name in the screen writing world. He feels that Bollywood movies are great but songs are not great. In fact, according to him, songs are distractions to the enjoyment of the movie. I just saw his interview in rxpgnews.com. Here is a part from that interview:

A: Frankly speaking, I haven't seen too many Hindi films. I have seen very few. Recently I saw 'Rang De Basanti'. What surprises me is that in between a story suddenly I see song-and-dance sequences and sometimes I forget the story before that sequence. It is nice to be entertained but sometimes songs are not correctly incorporated in the story and are distracting.

A: I will categorise Hindi films in two parts: one, which has too many characters, songs, music, etc. In short a complete entertainer. The other type is 'Rang De Basanti' - a strong story with a social message that inspires and touches you. I would like to believe in the latter kind of story telling.

So, Bollywood directors have something to learn about their movies. I know they will not learn since no body wants to change the winning combination. Songs give a lot of money to the Bollywood movies.

Sonu Nigam and Kareena Kapoor to Perform in Muscat Festival 2007

Bollywood movies are extremely popular in the Middle East. Thousands of people of South Asian origin live in the Middle East and Oman is one country in which you can find a lot of people from this part of the world working. The people of Oman will have the opportunity to see Sonu Nigam and Kareena Kapoor perform at Muscat Festival 2007.

Times of Oman reported:

His voice and songs have taken music lovers in India and even around the world by storm. Sonu Nigam, the electrifying Indian singer, who has achieved iconic status in the Indian musical firmament, will be here to lend a special musical spice to Muscat Festival 2007.

Sonu, who is known to be a great entertainer on stage, will be here as part of the Bollywood Show, organised by Gazelle International, at the Muscat Festival, an annual event that brings great entertainment to the city of Muscat.

And if Sonu wasn’t enough, adding more glamour and glitz to the event, will be the princess of the Bollywood big screen — Kareena Kapoor.

This is a good show and I am sure that the people will enjoy it. This way, Bollywood movies are spreading across the world- in particularly in the Middle East.

Bollywood Actresses are Unhappy with Bollywood Heroes for their Bad Breathe

Kissing a man with bad breathe is never an enjoyable experience. Many women are unhappy about this matter around the world. In Asia, it is even worse. Many Asian men do not care for their partners that much and often the women have to suffer a lot in love. However, it is awful to see that even in movie industries this problem is becoming a common affair.

The number of kissing scenes in Bollywood has increased sharply in the last 2-3 years. So, the female actresses have to suffer some from their male counterparts when it comes to bad breathing. Until now, the actresses remained silent about this matter but in the last few months, several actresses are talking about this matter.

India Daily reported:

It started with Celina Jetley. Now most female bombshells are complaining that the Bollywood males are throwing bad breath at them when the directors are eager the females to perform lip-clocked smooches with these careless males of Bollywood. ‘How about brush the teeth before kissing a stranger on the stage?’ shouts one Bollywood bombshell.

According to the report, the bad guys are the Khans while the good guy is Akshay Kumar. Well, I am not sure which Khan is the bad guy. Is it Shah Rukh or Salman or Amir?

It is a difficult problem and does not have a good solution. The only way this problem can be solved is that the media has to come forward and highlight this matter. Another way out is that the Bollywood actresses can refuse to take part in kissing scenes against those actors who have bad breathe and who do not take care of their breathe before a kissing scene.
