Thai movie makers are showing interest in Bollywood

This year, some notable Thai movie makers attended the 40^th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). These movie makers showed great interest in Bollywood. They think that collaborating with Bollywood would be very beneficial to the struggling Thai cinema industry. Famous Thai director, Nonzee Nimibutr, and Thai writer, producer, and director, Yongykoot Thongtongtoon, said that they were very much open to the idea of collaborating with the Indian film industry to expand their audience. They also said that Bollywood movies are very much popular in Thailand and earlier Indian movies were screened in Thailand. Galatta.com reports:

Both Nimibutr and Thongtongtoon are open to the idea of collaborating with an Indian film team to expand their audiences as "Indian films are very popular in Thailand.during our childhood, there were more Indian films being screened in Thailand than now. We will include more Indian films in our festival next year," they said.

Unfortunately, the Thai movie industry has been struggling for a long time because of poor government support and the country’s internal political struggle. There are many talented movie makers in Thailand and they are looking forward to make quality movies for the audience. Anupam Kher to Work with Director Woody Allen in Hollywood Film

Hollywood director Woody Allen has signed Bollywood’s veteran actor Anupam Kher for his upcoming project alongside a number of Hollywood and Bollywood actors. Anupam Kher has expressed his delight for being signed by a director Woody Allen. The movie also casts Bollywood stars like Aishwarya Rai, Irrfan Khan and Om Puri besides the Hollywood stars like Sir Anthony Hopkins, Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman. The movie also has Slumdog Millionaire fame Freida Pinto. 54-year-old Anupam Kher will play the role of Freida Pinto’s father in the unnamed movie.

Anupam Kher made his Bollywood debut with critically acclaimed 1984 movie Saaransh and since then he performed in many critically acclaimed movies over the last 25 years. He also worked in English language films like Bend it like Beckham and Lust, Caution. Now, let us see if Anupam Kher can present us another critically acclaimed performance in Woody Allen’s movie.

Aishwarya Rai, one of the most popular Bollywood actresses of this time, may suicide before of her being elder than her hubby Abhishek Bachchan. No, please do not blame me, I am not an astrologer. There was a dowry suicide death case of a 20 year old girl, Gayatri, in the high court where it was defended that as the bride was older than her accused husband, there was compatibility problem between them which caused the suicide death. In response to the defense, a bench of high court has taken the Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai marriage as an example disallowing the defense. DNA India reported:

"It is ridiculous to say that just because the bride was a little older than the groom it resulted in her suicide. In that case even Aishwariya Rai is said to be a little older than Abhishek Bachchan but they are quite happy with the marriage," remarked a bench of Justices S B Sinha and Markandeya Katju at former High Court Chief Justice and senior counsel Prabha Shankar Misra.

The remarks, which came during the hearing of a criminal appeal in a dowry death case of a 20-year old girl Gayatri of Jharkhand, left the entire court bursting into laughter.

The defence took the plea that since the bride was older than the groom, there was compatibility problem which resulted in her suicide.

I also agree with the bench that age difference is not an impediment for a happy married life. I guess the only reason of the death of the girl is dowry. In this point, Aishwarya Rai is safe as there was not any dowry giving in the marriage of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai.

Aishwarya Rai has recently got summon from the court that asks her to present before the court because of her kissing scene with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan. District Judge HK Shrivastava Friday ordered issuing of summonses to them after taking cognizance of a complaint petition filed by an advocate Sudhir Kumar Ojha.

In his petition, Ojha alleged Ash, Hrithik, producer of the film Aditya Chopra and director Sanjay Gadhvi had hurt the sensibilities of the audiences by the "obscene" kissing scene.

The court also ordered issuing of notices to Bihar government and proprietor and manager of a local theatre for allowing screening of the film despite "obscene" content.

Amitabh Bachchan Apologizes to Media for The Clash Between Media and Security Guard

Amitabh Bachchan apologies to media for the clash which involved some security guards and photojournalists. The incident caused some photojournalist injured which created much criticism in the media. The Bollywood legend said that the guards were of Shri Amar Singh's Black Cat commandos who were on duty that time.

The journalists were trying to take photographs when Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai reached at Prateeksha after the Bidaai ceremony. Amitabh also said that both Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai were in hurry as they had to enter the house before sunset. Saharasamay reported:

"I would like to apologise with folded hands for the incident that occurred on Saturday. It is an occasion of happiness for us and we don't want anyone to face problems due to this," he said, referring to the strict security arrangements in place at his bungalow Prateeksha for the marriage of his son Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai.

"The security personnel involved in the incident were not our guards but the Black Cat commandos of Shri Amar Singh. He and his security personnel have gone but I would like to apologise," he said shortly after returning here from a visit to Lord Venkateshwara temple in Tirumala with the newly-weds.

I think the guard should have showed much patience which might not cause any such incident. However, the incident like this was not expected and Bachchan family should give more importance on this matter and ensure that any such incident will not occur anymore.
