Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has recently apologized for his comment on legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar. Gavaskar criticized John Buchanan, the coach of Shah Rukh-owned IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders, for his multiple-captain theory in which there will not be any fixed captain or leader for a team. Upon Gavaskar’s comment on Buchanan’s theory, Shah Rukh came down hard on Gavaskar, stating that the former cricketer should not talk about Twenty20 format as he did not play in this format. Moreover, he suggested Gavaskar to own an IPL team to implement his own thought and ideas.
Well, Shah Rukh’s indecent comment was fully criticized by many in cricket world and in the media. Now, the actor has understood his mistake and apologized to Gavaskar. He even also sent an apology letter to Sunil Gavaskar. Shah Rukh Khan has said that he has great respect for Gavaskar and thinks that Gavaskar has all the rights to comment on Twenty20 game, even though he did not play this format.
Well, it is good that Shah Rukh Khan has finally understood his mistake and sought apology to Gavaskar. Here, I would like to say just one thing that a great cricketer does not need any certificate to comment on any aspect of the game and any team. Here, I would like to say that Shah Rukh Khan should remember that someone in future might ask him not to comment on Bollywood movies of 2030s when he will no more a Bollywood hero. How would Shah Rukh Khan feel then?
