Sonam Kapoor now seems to win the hearts of the moviegoers with her stunning beauty innocent look. Actually, I could not find enough information regarding the childhood of Sonam Kapoor. She was born in 9 June, 1985. She brought up with her parents but she studied abroad. Anil Kapoor has said that Sonam Kapoor was very lean in her childhood. However, she got the extra weight while studying in abroad. Reports have it that Sonam Kapoor has a great appetite for food.

In her childhood she had several wishes. Though she was a daughter of a popular Bollywood actor she does not have any desire to become an actress. There were several wishes in her mind. Initially, she wanted to become a teacher. However, after some days, Sonam Kapoor changed her wish and wanted to become a detective like Nancy Drew. Becoming a writer-director was also in her mind. Becoming an actress was something that she could not even dream off in her childhood. However, the reality is that Sonam Kapoor is now in the queue to become the next super star in Bollywood.

Sonam Kapoor’s Coming into Bollywood and Signing in Saawariya

Earlier I have mentioned earlier that Sonam Kapoor started as an assistant director of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It was for the movie ‘Black’ which was well-received by the critics. Ahead of the movie, one day Sonam Kapoor came to Sanjay Leela Bhansali with the request to give her the permission to work with him in the movie to get the basics of movie direction. I do not know if Sanjay could instantly realize the talent of Sonam Kapoor. However, he gave her the permission to work with him in the move Black. During the shooting of Black, one day Sanjay Leela Bhansali came up with the proposal to Sonam Kapoor to act in Saawariya. However, it came as a big surprise for Sonam Kapoor as she was about 90 kilos then. Immediately, Sonam Kapoor stared working hard to knock down her extra fats. With the help of her fitness freak mother Sunita kapoor, Sonam struggle hard and lost 30 kilos within few months.

When asked why he has taken two newcomers in the same movie, Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that he was feeling to take a challenge for himself working with the newcomers as he had earlier worked with some stars of the industry including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan etc. Regarding Sonam Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has said that Sonam Kapoor is a combination of Waheeda Rehmanji and Rekha. It seems that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has realized the potential of Sonam Kapoor as an actress. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Saawariya is a love story where a boy named Raj and a girl named Sakina found eternal love for each other. With a budget of about RS 30 crore, Sanjay Leela Bhansali took the lavish project of Saawariya where almost all of the scenes of the movie have been shot in misty night light. With lots of lights the environment was artificially created in the movie studio and you must be surprised to see the sets of the movie. The male lead role, Raj came from a Hindu family whereas Sakina is Muslim by religion. However, the directors and actors of the movie have confirmed it that the movie will not be a typical Hindu-Muslim movie.

Raj reaches at a picture like town where he meets Sakina. The town is really like a picture where you can see mountains three and many other things which will make you realize that it is a fantasy world where two souls have found their love for each other. You will find all ingredients to feel that Saawariya is a unique love story compared to other love stories of Bollywood. Lotuses, lake, boat, lights, stars in the sky- above all a mystic nightly environment are portrayed in the movie.

Monty Sharma as a composer in his debut film has stunned the Bollywood fans with his exceptionally composed songs. Recently, Sanjay Leela Bhansali said that Monty is now raked just after A.R. Rahman in the Bollywood industry as a composer. The music tracks of the movie suit the themes of the film very well.

Jab We Met Review: From Different Websites

Much hyped Bollywood movie, Jab We Met has hit the screens today and got average response from the moviegoers. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Jab We Met has been released in 15 countries across the world. Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor play the lead roles of the movie. However, the break of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor could not make it bigger in the opening day though it was earlier thought of. Jab We Met has done well in the first day but it is not so satisfactory.

However, Jab We Met has done very well compared to the other releases of this week. Anurag Kashyap’s No Smoking has come to closer in teems of competition with Jab We Met. At the evening shows of Jab We Met got comparatively good response than the previous shows.

Regarding the first day response of Jab We Met, Ibosnetwork reported:

The opening day bookings for Jab We Met is hovering at around 30% on limited screenings. That means, it will have to depend on word of mouth to generate large collections. (update: The film's collections did show an upward tick by Friday evening with Saturday bookings at 60%). The duo's previous films included Fida, 36 China Town, and Chup Chup Ke.
John Abraham & Ayesha Takia starrer No Smoking doesn't seem set to smoke out the box office either. Its advance was lagging behind Jab We Met at around 20% on similarly low volume screenings.

Though the movie could not work well expectedly in the first day, Jab We Met got huge response from the moviegoers. In a whole, Bollywood fans liked the movie for its story as well as the performance of the two leading actors. No matter, even if the movie does not generate huge income for the producers and director Imtaiz Ali because almost everybody has raised their voice while praising Imtiaz Ali for his excellent performance. The music numbers also attracted the fans and were said to be well-suit with the story and environment.

In the first place, the movie based on a love story portraying two strangers in a journey to love has crossed the mind of the fans. Though it is said that the movie is a mixture of a number of Bollywood and Hollywood films, Jab We Met has something different in its story and in story telling. So, the movie has all the qualities to stand by its own.

It has traces of the Abhishek - Ash starrer DHAAI AKSHAR PREM KE [2000; which, in turn, was inspired by A WALK IN THE CLOUDS] and Govinda - Urmila starrer KUNWARA [2000; which, in turn, was a remake of a Telugu film BHAVANAGARU BHAGUNNARA], but director Imtiaz Ali's execution of the subject takes it to another level altogether.
To sum up, JAB WE MET is as refreshing as an ice-cold watermelon juice in scorching heat. Imtiaz Ali's expert storytelling coupled with Shahid and Kareena's sparkling performances make this film a must-watch!

So, no doubt, Imtiaz Ali could successfully present the story to the fans with the right environment. For both Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor there are many more praises. Indicating their excellent performances the reports said that the two could suit the roles and make the roles alive. Capable Director - I thought Imtiaz Ali’s first release Socha Na Tha was a decent effort, so hopefully Jab We Met would only be better.

Jab We Met shot many of its scenes in various railway stations across the India. Imtaiz Ali came from Jamshedpur where train is the most popular everyday vehicle. So, Imtiaz Ali tried to introduce a train journey and the astounding railway stations in the movie. With the movie, Imtiaz Ali proves his talent once again. So, obviously Imtiaz Ali will get much inspiration to come up with many more movies for the fans of Bollywood.

Though the story of the movie has earned huge appreciation, there are some undecided questions over the story. It is true that those questions will not make any problem for the viewers to enjoy the films but the questions will remain constant.

1) Why does Shahid’s girlfriend marry someone else? Why does his business have problems (which by the way becomes an overnight success when Shahid returns to Bombay)? No explanations offered.
2) How does Shahid find Anshuman whom he’s never met? Unexplained.
3) Both leads seem to have no friends since there never is a mention of even one. Really strange. Usually when in problems related to family everyone talks to their friends.

Anyway, Jab We Met is an excellent movie where the story is described in an impressive way with the help of right environment and impressive acting of the actors. The expressions and the body language of the actors and the dialogues of the movie are enough to make you impress. Now, it is up to you; if you will watch the movie or not.

Ranbir Kapoor Launches Book on Raj Kapoor

Jab We Met Cast and Crew Members Worked under Intense Cold as well as Unbearable Heat

Jab We Met is coming to the screen on Friday. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, the movie is based on romantic love story. Another specialty of Jab We Met is that the movie was shot in various locations of India and the cast and crew members had to cope up with new environment and different temperature which was not a easy task. For shooting a part of the movie, the whole Jab We Met team went to Rohtang Pass where they had to work during a sub zero temperature. The place is 13,400 above the sea level. So, upon the arrival of the whole team, director Imtiaz Ali called a day off so that the cast and crew members could assimilate with the new environment.

In contrast, Jab We Met team members had to bear scorching heat as well for the shake of shooting for the movie. No doubt, it was really problematic for the actors and crew members of the team to go under cold and heat within few days. A song was shot under the 50 degree Celsius in Mandava near Jaipur. Special air conditioned vans and busses were arranged for the actors and the team members. The team completed the four day shooting within two days because of such heat. Now, let us see if such hard work of all the members of Jab We Met is paid off in the box office.
