Minissha Lamba and Shaurya

Minissha Lamba is playing the character of a journalist named, Kavya. While working on the case of captain Javed Kavya and Major Siddhant Chaudhry (Rahul Bose) comes close. So far, the on screen Rahul and Minissha looked very good.

Glamsham reports:

Minissha is now totally focused on her next project, Samar Khan's SHAURYA, where she is paired opposite the thinking man's actor, Rahul Bose. Minissha plays an investigative journalist in the film who is ready to take any risks for her profession, a la Barkha Dutt! She has gone the extra mile in order to make her character as realistic as possible.

The actress with the effervescent smile acknowledges the contribution of her director, Samar Khan in no uncertain terms. She adds that Samar's experience as a journalist contributed immensely to her performance in bringing to life the character of Kaavya Shastri, her on screen name.

This is Minissha’s first movie in 2008.

According to Minissha, Shaurya is a concept which exists among people who stand up and voice their opinions against all the mal-practice and injustice. By that it does not mean that people take the law in their own hands or start a revolution. Yet, when a person walking on the street sees a person being bullied, he should stop and raise his voice coming out of his/her “mundane comfort zone.”

Amrita Rao in Shaurya

Amrita rao is not a stranger to Bollywood anymore. So far she has only two successful movies to her credit, Ishq Vishk and Vivah and in both the movies she appeared with Shahid Kapoor. Amrita made a special appearance in Shaurya. India FM reports:

"Amrita Rao is indeed in my film. Just how it happened is an interesting story. I didn't intend to cast her. But she's a dear friend, and wanted to be part of my film. So, I cast her in a very special role. I guess I'm blessed to have so many friends in the industry," says the journalist-turned-director.

Samar is all praise for Amrita's professionalism. "We were supposed to shoot only for a day. But that stretched into two days. Amrita gave the time without any complaint. Then she wasn't happy with her dubbing. So, she did the dubbing again. I love how focused she was even in her cameo. And not just Amrita. I had a dream cast in Shaurya; Rahul Bose, Kay Kay Menon, Deepak Dobriyal and Minissha Lamba…they all went out of their way to make sure Shaurya turns out to be a special film."

This is Amrita Rao’s second movie this year. Her first movie, My Name is Anthony Gonsalves did not do very well.

According to Amrita Rao, Shaurya is not something very serious. It all boils down to our ordinary day to day lives. Every day we take hundreds of decisions on our own Shaurya is the quality to take the right decision. Should I turn my face around when a person is lying on the street ran over by a car? Should I lie to my boss? Should I say something to people and do the opposite?

Shaurya also means “combating fear.” We all have fears; fear of failure, fear of struggle, fear of staying alone in a room. The conquest of these fears are also the sign of Shaurya.

Shah Rukh Khan in Shaurya

In Shaurya, Shah Rukh Khan (YES, the BAD…SHAH of Bollywood) will be making special appearance as a poet. In the end of the movie, he will be seen reciting a poem. For the first time, King Khan will be playing the character of a poet on the big screen. India Times reports:

This is a first for SRK, who will now be seen as a poet in the film Shaurya. To find out more about it we caught up with director, Samar Khan and he tells us, “SRK was in my first film as well and he is such a great guy as well as a very professional actor...its just a joy working with him.” Besides this he also adds, “SRK as been a constant help to me in my career, its like he’s always there when I need him the most.”

“My second film didn’t have Shah Rukh in any role and after the film was done I felt like there was something missing...its like as though that special something is absent. Hence for this film I knew that I just wanted him to be in it. Then came the poem part and I approached him to ask whether he would recite it.”

Shaurya is Samar Khan’s second movie. In 2005, he made his debut as a director through Kuchh Meetha Ho Jaye. In that movie also, Shah Rukh Khan made special appearance. According to Samar, after hearing the poem, Shah Rukh instantly decided to do the role.

This is not the first time Shah Rukh gave special appearance in a low profile director’s movie. Reputed film critic, Khalid Mohammed, approached to Shah Rukh for an item number in Fiza. However, the song was removed at the last moment due to the length of the move. Then again Shah Rukh appeared in Mohammed’s second movie, Silsilay in 2005. Shah Rukh is the biggest film star in India now. When he appears in any movie it gets lots of attention in the media which is an extra boost for the film makers. No wonder, Samar Khan has performed an astonishing feat by convincing Shah Rukh doing guest appearance in two of his movies.

Shaurya: Minissha Lamba in the role of Journalist

The movie Shaurya is expected to hit the screen in the first week of April. Minissha Lamba is the lead actress in the movie and she is playing in the role of a journalist. Well, until now Minissha Lamba has not got any big success in her acting. I mean that she is a good actress and she has some good number of fans but she is still to become a top actress in Bollywood. I guess that her fans are now praying that she would be successful in winning the heart of many people with her movie Shaurya.

Rahul Bose to Appear as Army Personnel in the Upcoming Movie Shaurya

Bollywood star Rahul Bose is going to appear as Army personnel in a film titled “Shaurya” along with the stars like Kay Kay Menon, Minissha Lamba and Javed Jaffery. Rahul has given lots of effort to mingle with the character of a Brigadier he is playing in the movie. To do this, he showed enough professionalism spending hours after hours with heavy cardio exercise in order to appear in the movie with lean body which suits well to a army man. Reports have it that he continued shooting in the given schedule despite his father being ill which shows his intense professionalism.

And all this continued, while he was struggling with some personal problems. Whilst shooting in Manali his father fell ill. However Rahul the perfect professional did not let this hamper the schedule and continued. We wondered how he could have kept his concentration going in such a situation.
Rahul says with aplomb, “I have always been someone who concentrates on what I am doing at that particular time so I just switch off and on.”

Rahul Bose has already been a promising star of India’s showbiz world. With the rare professionalism, the actor is getting much more popular in the industry. He has been critically acclaimed for his role in the movie Everybody Says I'm Fine. He is also a rugby union player and used to be a boxer earlier. Now, let us see if Rahul can impress his fans once again with his acting in the movie Shaurya.
