Record Turnout for Kambakkht Ishq on the Opening Weekend

Bollywood film Kambakkht Ishq has broken Shah Rukh Khan starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’s record for opening day turnout, and thus, becoming the second highest grosser on the opening day ever in Bollywood. With Kambakkht Ishq, Bollywood has experienced two big hits in back to back weeks, after the release of New York last week.


Kambakkht Ishq stars some of the popular stars like Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor along with Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh, Denise Richards and Holly Valance in cameo roles. Kambakkht Ishq grossed Rs 19 crore worldwide on its opening day.


Industry specialists are predicting that Bollywood is going to see a super hit after a long time. Well, everything will depend on the interest of moviegoers. Although almost all the multiplexes as well as cinema halls experienced packed shows, there is no certainty that the movie will go on well in the coming weeks. So, let us not make any decision yet, rather we should wait and see if the movie can hold on the attention of the Bollywood fans.

Akshay Kumar: I do not Like to be Called Bollywood King

Akshay Kumar is seen claiming himself as the Bollywood king in a rap song in his movie Chandni Chowk to China, but star actor has recently revealed that he does not like to be called Bollywood king. Rather, Akshay Kumar wants to be known as Bollywood clown because his main intention in the movie is to entertain the people.


Akshay Kumar was promoting his new film Kambakkht Ishq, which also stars Kareena Kapoor in the female lead role, in New Delhi when he revealed this. There is no doubt, Akshay Kumar is one of the most popular Bollywood actor at this moment. In fact, the actor presented the Bollywood movie goers with a number of box office hits over the last few years. Reports also have it in the media suggesting that Akshay Kumar is now the biggest earner among the Bollywood actors.


So, no matter, whether he likes or not, there are enough reasons to call Akshay Kumar the Bollywood king.

Kambakkht Ishq: Another Hollywood-Influenced Bollywood Entertainer

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor starrer Kambakkht Ishq was released today. Though time has not come to write whether it is a box office hit or not, but the movie is reportedly based on a loose story, but is totally intended to provide entertainment. Influenced by Hollywood culture, the movie features kissing scenes, women appearing in short dresses as well as some of the Hollywood stars like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards, Brandon Routh and Holly Valance in cameo roles. Kambakkht Ishq is both written and directed by Sabbir Khan. Bollywood fans could experience some attractive action stunts by action hero Akshay Kumar in the movie too. The movie also features Aftab Shivdasani, Amrita Arora, Kirron Kher in some pivotal roles.


The current trend of Bollywood is to give entertainment to the audience anyhow and make some good cash in featuring some action scenes, kissing scenes as well as big stars in the lead roles alongside some of surprises like the appearance of Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone in the movie. Kambakkht Ishq also seems not to be different.

Salman Khan Wants to Patch up with Shah Rukh Khan

Bollywood was divided into two parts when two of its super stars Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan had a bitter clash last year at the birthday party of Katrina Kaif, the love-bird of Salman. Now, there are many indications that the cold war between the two stars could melt down very soon with Salman becoming interested to work with Shah Rukh on the screen again.



Moreover, there are a number of rumors available in the media suggesting a split up between Salman and Katrina. Bollywood rumor mills also indicate that Katrina might not invite Shah Rukh in her upcoming birthday party. This might have prompted Salman to come under a compromise with Shah Rukh because Katrina is most likely to invite Shah Rukh Khan at his birthday party. No doubt, she is currently at the peak of her career and she would not like to involve in a clash with a powerful man like Shah Rukh Khan who besides acting is now producing movies from his home production Red Chillies Entertainment.
