Kings XI Punjab owner Preity Zinta is the richest actress in Bollywood

Who is the richest actress in Bollywood? Until today, I didn’t know the answer of this question. In various media reports, I found that Bollywood actress Preity Zinta is currently now the richest actress in India. She is the co-owner of IPL franchise, Kings XI Punjab. Recently, her stake in her IPL team alone is valued at around Rs 350 to Rs 400 crores. According to some cricket experts, the original figure is much higher.

However, Preity Zinta is likely to be the legal heir of Shandar Amrohi. Shandar Amrohi is one of the co-owners of Kamalistan Studios. If Preity Zinta really gets Shandar Amrohi’s property then she will be even richer.

It is said that Preity Zinta will sell some part of her IPL stake and redevelop Kamalistan property alongwith a high-profile builder from Pune.

Aishwarya Rai and Preity Zinta do not have time for reality show

Reality show judge is now quite popular among Bollywood celebrities. Famous actors, singers, dance choreographers, actresses all are appearing as judges or competitors in various reality shows in different Indian channels. Recently, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Preity Zinta were approached by producers of reality show “India’s got talent.” However, both of them backed out due to lack of time. Now, the producers are looking out for other celebrities.

 

“India’s got talent” is the Indian version of the American reality show, “America’s got talent.” This show is a bit exceptional because it explores all types of talents including singing, dancing, acting and others.

 

Preity Zinta could not give time because she is now busy with the Indian Premier League. Preity Zinta is the co-owner of Kings XI Punjab. Initially, Preity Zinta was signed up by the producers for Rs.50 million. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s calendar is filled up. She is doing movies with famous directors including:  Mani Ratnam , Vipul Amrutlal Shah, Rituparno Ghosh. She is also going to do a film with Vishal Bharadwaj.

Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia: Broken up or Still Together?

Making and breaking relationships in Bollywood now seem to have become an item number in a movie which does not make any sense, but still creates curiosity and attraction among the movie fans. Now, reports available in the media suggest that bollywood actress Preity Zinta has come out of his much-publicized relationship with businessman Ness Wadia. However, neither Preity nor Ness was available to comment on this rumor. Still, they are meeting regularly for IPL issues, but it has nothing to do with their love-relationship anymore.

Well, all of these are simply rumors as nothing has been confirmed by any of them. So, let us wait and see before making a conclusion in this regard.

Preity Zinta: Shekhar Kapoor Eater?

Preity Zinta is now under fire from Suchitra Krishnamoorthy. Suchitra Krishnamoorthy has accused that Preity Zinta had an affair with her former husband Shekhar Kapoor and it caused her marriage to fall apart.

If the accusation is true then it is very bad for Preity Zinta. It will not do any good to her trying to become the leading Bollywood actress.

Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) and Priety Zinta

Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) and Priety Zinta are among the top performers in Bollywood. Shahrukh Khan is a veteran actor but still he is very popular and he is acting with all the leading female actresses.

Preity Zinta Learning Skiing to Forget a Bad Year?

Preity Zinta is going to celebrate the arrival of 2007 by learning skiing and actually skiing in America. She is in USA now to relax after a busy but unsuccessful year at Bollywood. She acted very well in her movies and against actors like Salman Khan and Sha Rukh Khan but the movies did not click in the box office. So, may be she wants to forget the sad part by skiing. Indiafm wrote:

Moving to less grim topics, Preity reveals she's going skiing in Colorado for the New Year. "I've been in the snow a lot. But I never skied. And I do want to learn a new sport. It's never too late to learn. I'll be gone for two weeks."

When told Saif Ali Khan has also gone skiing for the New Year, Preity quips, "Saif and I could do a ski film together."

"Well in my films I managed to balance out my marital karma pretty well. If in Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna I was divorced, in Jaan-E-Mann I made sure the family stayed together. Was I disappointed by the Indian box-office collections of my two releases in 2006? No way. Ten years from now I'll be extremely proud of both the films. At the end of the day I need to be happy and proud of what I do."

Well, I do not agree with her. Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Jaan-E-Mann are not bad movies but I have strong doubt if many people would remember them after 10 years. Actually, I feel that Preity Zinta is just consoling herself. She should be more selective about movies if she really wants to be remember after 10 years. 19 years is a long time in Bollywood.
