3 Idiots: Ending the year on a happy note

Seeing Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots names of two movies immediately came to my mind- Taare Zameen Par and Patch Adams. In one way, you can say that 3 Idiots is another version of TZP. Both these movies reveal the weakness of the Indian education system. How students are forced to memorize and not be creative. How parents force their children to fulfill their dreams but they end up miserably. 3 Idiots is just the adult version of that story. On the other hand, Patch Adams is a Hollywood movie starring famous comedy actor Robin Williams. Patch Adams is the story of Patch Adams a brilliant doctor whose unconventional views about medical treatment put him into direct conflict with the school’s dean. I am not saying that 3 Idiots is inspirited from Patch Adams, even if it did, there is no problem because both these movies have their own stories to tell and both of them are great and at the end of these movies you will go home teary eyed feeling good. First of all, I would like to congratulate director Rajkumar Hirani and all the actors for giving us such a great movie. 3 Idiots deserves a straight “A”. The year 2009, would be remembered as a year of financial crisis for Bollywood movie industry but this movie will give the movie makers a reason to smile.

3 Idiots starts with the journey of two friends- Farhan Qureshi (Madhavan) and Raju Rastogi (Sharman Joshi) who resumed their journey after five years in search of an old friend, Ranchoddas Shaymaldas Chanchad (Aamir Khan), who changed their lives and taught them to pursue “Excellence.” The movie then goes to a flashback to the college days of the three friends narrated by Farhan Qureshi. Raju Rastogi came from a lower middle class family. His father works as a postman. Since he was good in his study, his family went through great hardship to support him through his school and college. Now, he is in one of the most prestigious engineering colleges in India and if he graduates from here, his family’s condition will change. Raju carries a huge burden of expectation. Farhan always wanted to become a wildlife photographer but he gave up his dream for the sake of his family. Finally, there was our Rancho, a free thinker and a genius who loves what he does. Rancho is the problem creator in the class. He never conforms but asks questions which puts him into direct conflict with dean, Viru Sahastrabudhhe (Boman Irani). Everytime, he tries to pressure Rancho, he deceives him. Rancho acts like stupid in the class but at the end of the day, he scores the highest mark. 3 Idiots gives you an idea of an education system that does not spawn creativity and make students pass exams and get good jobs but not inspire them to do something bigger and better.

The strong point of 3 Idiots is its direction and screen play. Vidhu Vinod Chopra,

Rajkumar Hirani, Abhijit Joshi worked diligently on the script which comes with lots great scenes with superb dialogues.

In terms of acting, 3 Idiots is a movie of characters. There are three friends with three different characters and then there are the supporting characters and the actors did a great job.

I have great respect for Aamir Khan because his movies are always special. He is consistent and when he does something it becomes unforgettable. In 3 Idiots he just did that once again. The actor played a dual role- the role of a young college graduate in his twenties and the role of a grown up guy. He played his roles with great ease and gave out a great performance.

Madhavan and Sharman Joshi was no less talented. Sharman’s role was also very complex but he proved himself to be an actor who can deliver rocking performance be it comedy, be it serious melo-drama.

Kareena Kapoor’s role Piya, the daughter of Viru Sahastrabudhhe, the dean of the Engineering college who is engaged to a business tycoon but falls in love with Aamir Khan played his part very well.

Boman Irani played the cruel dean who likes the traditional ways and always clashing with Rancho. He fits in very well because he already played such role in Munnabhai and he knows what he has to do.

In the end, I would suggest that you go and watch 3 Idiots and give yourself a reason to be happy in the Christmas Eve.

Aamir Khan and Sharman Joshi lose their muscles for 3 Idiots

Today, you may know him as one of the top directors of Bollywood. He has everything a man can ask in life but Rajkumar Hirani has his own story of struggle. During his school years, he was an average student and followed the usual course and decided to study doctor. Thank god, he did not succeed or else we could not have seen movies like Munnabhai. In his upcoming movie, 3 Idiots Rajkumar Hirani shows the journey of three ordinary guys labeled as ‘Idiots’ by their teachers becoming a hero just like him. In an interview the director talks about the making of the movie.

The idea of 3 Idiots came to him after he read Chetan Bhagat's novel, “Five Point Someone.” At that time, he was preparing to make another episode of Munnabhai, “Munnabhai Chale America” but he could not focus on the movie because another new idea was coming to his head. Finally, he decided to get it of his head and start working on 3 Idiots. Now, that it is finished he will resume his work on Munnabhai. Rajkumar Hirani had a great time working with the actors in the movie. He said:

I don't know where these stories come from. I know this is Aamir's perceived image and whatever he does, it will be difficult to wipe out that image. But I faced no issues like that. I think Aamir's dedication is mistaken as interference.

I would rather have a dedicated guy than an indifferent guy. I expect Aamir to tell me his view points when I am directing a scene.

In order to play the character of a typical IIT student Aamir Khan and Salman Khan had to lose their muscles. Madhavan on the contrary looked fat as there are many fat students.

Initially, Rajkumar Hirani thought of Shah Rukh Khan but it did not work. Then Aamir Khan convinced him that he could look younger than his age and he made it possible. The rest of the cast was then fixed up. For his role, Boman Irani went to an old tailor in Dadar who stitches old clothes and bought some cheap suits. Though Kareena Kapoor’s role was shorter, Rajkumar Hirani said that he remained true to the script. The character of the heroin is shorter. 3 Idiots is not a romantic story, romance just one of the sub-plots of the movie.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor’s Agent Vinod is under financial pressure

Bollywood is now going to through a tough phase as it has been hit heart by global recession. Moreover, these days, having big movie stars do not ensure success of the movie. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor are two of the most sought after actors in Bollywood. The couple appeared in three movies so far- Kurbaan, Tashan, and Roadside Romeo. All of them bombed at the box office. For this reason, there next movie Agent Vinod is under financial pressure. Agent Vinod which stars Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor as undercover agents will be produced jointly by Eros International and Illuminati Films, which is co-owned by Saif Ali Khan and Dinesh Vijan. Rumor spread out that, Eros International is considering to cut the budget of the film from Rs 65 crores to Rs 40 crores. The Times of India reports:

In today's time, when having a big star in one's film does not guarantee money recovery, it is not surprising that Eros is having second thoughts about the budget of the film. Apparently, the dismal performance of the recent Saif-Kareena starrer Kurbaan at the box-office has also played a big role in Eros deciding to cut costs. Incidentally, this is the third time recently that the real life couple failed to set the screen on fire. They had not too long ago worked together in Roadside Romeo and Tashan.

When Sriram Raghavan, director of Agent Vinod, was contacted, he told that he was not aware of the budget cuts and he said that he would not cut short the script because there are lots of action sequences that requires shooting in foreign locations. Even Kareena Kapoor will be doing some action sequences like those Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider.

Kambakkht Ishq: Another Hollywood-Influenced Bollywood Entertainer

Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor starrer Kambakkht Ishq was released today. Though time has not come to write whether it is a box office hit or not, but the movie is reportedly based on a loose story, but is totally intended to provide entertainment. Influenced by Hollywood culture, the movie features kissing scenes, women appearing in short dresses as well as some of the Hollywood stars like Sylvester Stallone, Denise Richards, Brandon Routh and Holly Valance in cameo roles. Kambakkht Ishq is both written and directed by Sabbir Khan. Bollywood fans could experience some attractive action stunts by action hero Akshay Kumar in the movie too. The movie also features Aftab Shivdasani, Amrita Arora, Kirron Kher in some pivotal roles.

The current trend of Bollywood is to give entertainment to the audience anyhow and make some good cash in featuring some action scenes, kissing scenes as well as big stars in the lead roles alongside some of surprises like the appearance of Hollywood actor Sylvester Stallone in the movie. Kambakkht Ishq also seems not to be different.

Akshay Kumar meets his childhood hero Sylvester Stallone on the set of Kambakth Ishq

Kambakth Ishq is the upcoming movies of Akshay Kumar and the movie was partially shot in USA. Famous Hollywood action star Sylvester Stallone played a major role in the movie. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Kambakth Ishq is a movie about love and spirituality. I do not know how Sylvester Stallone fits into whole scenario. In the movie, 60 year old Sylvester Stallone did his own action sequences and he didn’t use any body doubles. In one of the sequences Sylvester Stallone saves Kareena Kapoor from a group of thugs. Though sixty year old, Sylvester Stallone is physically very fit which surprised the crew of the unit. Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor were very much impressed with Sylvester Stallone’s incredible physic and his dedication to his craft. Kareena liked Sylvester Stallone’s down to earth life style. She said that when Stallone came to the setsm she did not have any entourage or any body gourd with him. He came to the shooting spot carrying his own food basket and he has a charming personality.

Akshay Kumar was very much impressed with Stallone because Stallone was one of his childhood heroes and he wanted to be like him. He said that he will never forget the moment he spent with Stallone. On the other hand, Stallone also very happy working with Akshay and Kareena and he said that he liked the subject of the movie.

Kambakth Ishq is the next high profile movie in Akshay Kumar’s career and the movie has many stunt sequences and all the stunt sequences were choreographed by famous Hollywood stuntman, Spiro Razatos, who choreographed stunt sequences for movies liked Bad Boys 2, Gothika, Vantage Point, Death Race, 3000 Miles to Graceland and Tuff Turf. We are eagerly waiting to see Stallone, Akshay and Kareena in Kambakth Ishq.

Tashan : Movie review

Title: Tashan

Director: Vijay Krishna Acharya

Production: Yash Raj Films

Music: Vishal - Shekhar

Cast: Anil Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor

Synopsis: Jimmy (Saif Ali Khan) is a call center executive who gets the opportunity to teach English to a gangster named, Bhaiyyaji (Anil Kapoor). Bhaiyyaji’s beautiful secretary, Pooja (Kareena Kapoor) uses Jimmy to steal Rs. 25 crore from Bhaiyyaji. Now, Bhaiyyaji wants his money back and their lives. Enter, hit man Bachchan Pandey (Akshay Kumar). Now what happens to Pooja and Jimmy? Will they return the money. The answer is, ‘I do not know.’ For that you have to watch the movie. If you are still confused whether you should watch the movie or not, here is a collection of various reviews about the movie. Go through it and decide.
Glamsham fan review dubbed Tashan “all style and no substance.” If further says:

The script lacks punch, and the direction lacks... well, direction. The fabulous four are doing their best, but they have little to do it with. A striking example of this is the lengthy speech in Hinglish that Anil Kapoor's character is saddled with. It adds nothing to proceedings, at an early stage in the film, and triggers the first in a series of lame references to Hindi film titles, songs and heroes. If I told you that Akshay Kumar's character in the film is called Bachchan, and that he ends up involved in a misunderstanding on a film set, I might have spoiled the most elaborate of these gags.

I love India praised the movie. It says that the movie is an all-in-all entertainer. The twisted plots will keep you engaged except few loop holes here and there.

Coming down to performances, Anil Kapoor is at his very best. His character as the don, who is dangerous, yet manages to tickle your funny bone, is flawless. Akshay Kumar again manages to take most of your applause. He plays his part to perfection and totally gets into the character. Kareena Kapoor is doing what she was supposed to do, look sexy. Nevertheless, she manages to deliver a good performance. After Omkara and Race, much more was expected from Saif. However, the role failed to do justice to him. All in all, if you are in for some entertainment, Tashan is a movie worth spending those bucks!

Bollywood Hungama review says that Tashan is one of the weakest movies to come out of Yash Raj films. It is just the disastrous repetition of history like Jhoom Barabar Jhoom,LAAGA CHUNARI MEIN DAAG,AAJA NACHLE. The main problem with the movie is that it tries to pull the crowd with its star cast. Movie goers taste has changed a lot. Big stars does not mean that people will run to the theatres. More over, the music was not very good quality. Vishal-Shekhar did injustice to their names and reputation. However, location, cinematography and script was good. The first half of the movie was really good but in the second half, the director lost his focus. In terms of performance, Akshay Kumar is the best. He is the USP of the movie. Karina’s role was FIDA type and she carried out well with skimpy outfits. However, Anil and Saif’s characters does not have much weight.

Feel the difference gives a positive review. Like Bollywood Hungama, it also praised Akshay Kumar and Anil Kapoor’s performance.

The script was tight and though there were some flaws, the brilliant screenplay kind of made up for the drawbacks. Music was excellent in terms of the background score and two numbers but nothing worthwhile to take home. The editing desk could have been a bit more crisp, full marks to the camera and the costume departments which have come up with a master's job and skillful capturing of the moment. Coming to the cast, Kareena Kapoor was more of a glam doll and did her bit while Saif Ali Khan could not come out with his usual charms and presence.

Saturday Movie Show dubbed Tashan as a light entertainer. The movie is just a time pass. There is nothing very serious. Director, Vijay Krishna Acharya, lacks perfection but one good thing he knows is how to keep the audience engaged in the movie. The performance of the actors were average. It further says:

The movie can be labeled as a cartoon style film as well at times. Akshay Kumar Magic during the fighting, which overtakes spiderman, superman and all other cartoon characters. This Khilladi fights 100s at a time - Throw down at least 15 with his one push – Climb big walls and fight from middle when 50 people fire with machine guns - kill 100s and come out as unhurt. He can run like a cheetah and escape thousands of gun shots. It is hilarious as it intended that way. When the Killadi was doing all these, Saif tried a boat flight as well where he simply fly from the sea with a boat and fire just turning down the boat. The cartoon style was a matter of good laugh.

Though I have not watched the movie, I watched Jhoom Barabar Jhoom and in a way I feel that Tashan is a repetition of JBJ; very glamorous, very glossy but do not have a good story or good song. Still, I will go to watch the movie. Why? JUST FOR FUN!!

Tashan: A Welcome Back of Akshay Kumar in Action Genre

Akshay Kumar is going to make a come back to action movie with his upcoming release Tashan. The Bollywood super star started his career as an action hero and his initial success in Bollywood came through action flicks. Once he was popular as an action hero and he could hardly get any role beyond action movies. However, over the last few years, Akshay Kumar has proved his versatility as an actor and churned out many box office hit movies. In fact, most of his box office success over the last couple of years came though comedy or romantic films. It seemed Bollywood fans were going to forget his action skill as success was coming under his cap through the movies of other genres. So, Tashan is a welcome back of Akshay Kumar to his root. Akshay Kumar himself is pretty much hopeful about the success of Tashan in the box office.

Planetbollywood reported:

While commenting about the release of ‘Tashan’, Akshay says, “I’m really excited about this film. It celebrates a return to the action genre for me and has given me the opportunity to showcase my physical and technical skills which, for me, are my art.

“ ‘Tashan’ marks a whole new concept in Bollywood action filmmaking which will certainly take the audiences by surprise, if not shock, as they will have seen nothing like this before. This is a film that will have universal appeal, not only for action film enthusiasts, but for anyone who appreciates top quality cinema with a real edge. ”

Tashan is an action packed thriller from Yash Raj banner and is expected to be one of the biggest hits of this year. The star studded film features Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Anil Kapoor in the lead roles besides Akshay Kumar. Akshay plays the role of gangster Bachchan Pande in the movie. Now, let us see if the movie makes a successful come back for Akshay Kumar in action movie.

Kareena Kapoor Angry with Deepika Padukone

Popular Bollywood actress, Kareena Kapoor is now very angry with fellow actress Deepika Padukone. You might be thinking that it is very natural for Kareena Kapoor who is well-known for her open-minded comments without keeping anything hidden. The actress has shown it during the Filmfare Award Giving ceremony, held in Mumbai a few days ago. There are two possible reasons behind her being angry with the emerging star, Deepika Padukone.

First, Deepika Padukone has recently signed for the new movie of director Imtiaz Ali, who directed Kareena Kapoor in last year’s hit Jab We Met and Kareena Kapoor got Filmfare Best Actress award for her role in Jab We Met. Moreover, the movie Deepika Padukone has been signed for is going to be produced by Kareena Kapoor’s present love interest Saif Ali Khan.

Smashits reported:

When asked about Kareena's anger, Imtiaz laughed it out and discounted this news claiming it to be a mere gossip. To justify his choice of Deepika this time, he says that she is the fittest person to play the coveted role in his movie under consideration. Apart from it, Imtiaz explains that Kareena continues to enjoy his confidence, and has therefore zeroed in on her for his another movie. Industry circles wonder if Kareena would take it lying down, as she is capable of showing her anger any moment to her favorite director Imtiaz as well as Deepika Padukone.

Well, Kareena Kapoor has received Filmfare Best Actress award this year, while the Best Female Debut award goes to Deepika Padukone for her excellent performance in Blockbuster hit Om Shanti Om. So, both the actresses are now at their prime in professional career. Now, it seems that the two are going to be turned into competitors to each other in the industry.

Jab We Met Review: From Different Websites

Much hyped Bollywood movie, Jab We Met has hit the screens today and got average response from the moviegoers. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, Jab We Met has been released in 15 countries across the world. Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor play the lead roles of the movie. However, the break of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor could not make it bigger in the opening day though it was earlier thought of. Jab We Met has done well in the first day but it is not so satisfactory.

However, Jab We Met has done very well compared to the other releases of this week. Anurag Kashyap’s No Smoking has come to closer in teems of competition with Jab We Met. At the evening shows of Jab We Met got comparatively good response than the previous shows.

Regarding the first day response of Jab We Met, Ibosnetwork reported:

The opening day bookings for Jab We Met is hovering at around 30% on limited screenings. That means, it will have to depend on word of mouth to generate large collections. (update: The film's collections did show an upward tick by Friday evening with Saturday bookings at 60%). The duo's previous films included Fida, 36 China Town, and Chup Chup Ke.
John Abraham & Ayesha Takia starrer No Smoking doesn't seem set to smoke out the box office either. Its advance was lagging behind Jab We Met at around 20% on similarly low volume screenings.

Though the movie could not work well expectedly in the first day, Jab We Met got huge response from the moviegoers. In a whole, Bollywood fans liked the movie for its story as well as the performance of the two leading actors. No matter, even if the movie does not generate huge income for the producers and director Imtaiz Ali because almost everybody has raised their voice while praising Imtiaz Ali for his excellent performance. The music numbers also attracted the fans and were said to be well-suit with the story and environment.

In the first place, the movie based on a love story portraying two strangers in a journey to love has crossed the mind of the fans. Though it is said that the movie is a mixture of a number of Bollywood and Hollywood films, Jab We Met has something different in its story and in story telling. So, the movie has all the qualities to stand by its own.

Indiafm reported:

Frankly, the story isn't new. It has traces of the Abhishek - Ash starrer DHAAI AKSHAR PREM KE [2000; which, in turn, was inspired by A WALK IN THE CLOUDS] and Govinda - Urmila starrer KUNWARA [2000; which, in turn, was a remake of a Telugu film BHAVANAGARU BHAGUNNARA], but director Imtiaz Ali's execution of the subject takes it to another level altogether.
To sum up, JAB WE MET is as refreshing as an ice-cold watermelon juice in scorching heat. Imtiaz Ali's expert storytelling coupled with Shahid and Kareena's sparkling performances make this film a must-watch!

So, no doubt, Imtiaz Ali could successfully present the story to the fans with the right environment. However, the two protagonists Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have also impressed with their much expressive performances. Almost everyone has expressed their praise for the performance of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor. They have recently got separated from each other. However, it seems they must rethink about their relationship as both of them are getting huge positive responses from both the movie fans as well as from the critics.

Rediff reported:

Though Kareena is loud at times, she is a treat to watch -- funny and full of life. She gets to mouth hilarious lines like, 'Bachpan se mujhe shaadi karne ka bahut shauk tha.'
Shahid, on other hand, acts composed and provides a perfect foil to the Kareena's bubbly character.

For both Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor there are many more praises. Indicating their excellent performances the reports said that the two could suit the roles and make the roles alive. Some even have said that Shahid has showed his best performance in Jab We Met. Indiafm reported that the movie would be a turning point in the career of Kareena Kapoor. Moreover, writer also compared Kareena Kapoor with the Kajol of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai Pawan Malhotra and Dara Singh have also showed praiseworthy performances in the movie.

Merinews reported:

Shahid is wonderfully restrained and enacts his part with rare maturity. However, it is Kareena who with her spritely performance (though she is over the top, here and there, per chalta hai) is the star of the show. Her gym-toned figure shows on-screen and thankfully she looks much more presentable than her flabby Don days.

The music tracks of the movie were also earned a good response from the music lovers. In particular, “Mauja Hi Mauja” and Yeh Ishq Hai” have touched the fans. No doubt, the movie is expected to become a good. Many have praised the music tracks for having a close connection to the story of the movie. It is obvious that, Pritam has showed his talent once again and no doubt, the songs will help the movie to become successful in the box office.

Desicritics reported:

Decent Soundtrack - I totally dig the “Mauja Hi Mauja” number, even though it’s sung by that jungle beast Mika. Even “Yeh Ishq Hai” is quite hummable.
Capable Director - I thought Imtiaz Ali’s first release Socha Na Tha was a decent effort, so hopefully Jab We Met would only be better.

Shahid Kapoor has recently said that the songs of the movie will have a good response from the fans. Besides the songs, the person who was responsible for all of the success of Jab We Met is none but the director Imtiaz Ali. Jab We Met is the second movie of Imtiaz Ali as he got into Bollywood with her critically acclaimed Socha Na Tha that could not work well in the box office. Both the leading actors Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have given all the credits to Imtiaz Ali for the success of the movie

Indiafm reported:

Imtiaz Ali deserves brownie points for handling the subject with such maturity. The fun-laden scenes are truly funny and the emotional ones make you moist-eyed. Striking the right balance between light and heavy moments is akin to walking on a tight rope and Imtiaz handles the two extremes with remarkable ease. An accomplished storyteller undoubtedly!

Jab We Met shot many of its scenes in various railway stations across the India. Imtaiz Ali came from Jamshedpur where train is the most popular everyday vehicle. So, Imtiaz Ali tried to introduce a train journey and the astounding railway stations in the movie. With the movie, Imtiaz Ali proves his talent once again. So, obviously Imtiaz Ali will get much inspiration to come up with many more movies for the fans of Bollywood.

Though the story of the movie has earned huge appreciation, there are some undecided questions over the story. It is true that those questions will not make any problem for the viewers to enjoy the films but the questions will remain constant.

Moneyinnews reported:

1) Why does Shahid’s girlfriend marry someone else? Why does his business have problems (which by the way becomes an overnight success when Shahid returns to Bombay)? No explanations offered.
2) How does Shahid find Anshuman whom he’s never met? Unexplained.
3) Both leads seem to have no friends since there never is a mention of even one. Really strange. Usually when in problems related to family everyone talks to their friends.

Anyway, Jab We Met is an excellent movie where the story is described in an impressive way with the help of right environment and impressive acting of the actors. The expressions and the body language of the actors and the dialogues of the movie are enough to make you impress. Now, it is up to you; if you will watch the movie or not.

Jab We Met is Not the Last on Screen Chemistry of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor

The break up of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor is now a hot topic. Ahead of their upcoming movie, Jab We Met, the once lovebirds are now the center of attention in Bollywood arena. Recently, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have broken up their relationship. In the last few weeks it has make headlines in the media and thus the movie got huge publicity.

So, it is natural to think that Jab We Met will be the last on screen appearance of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor chemistry. It is logical too. However, the reality is different and that is Jab We Met is not the last movie of Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor pair. No, do not think that Shahid and Kareena have been together again. Actually, Boney Kapoor produced Milenge Milenge was supposed to release on 2005 but due to financial constraint the shooting of the movie was postponed. Now, it has been reported that the movie is set to release on 2008. So, the fans who like the Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor chemistry on the screen can now cheer on. Now, let us see how far Jab We Met can go and if the movie can increase the Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor pair. Time will say the best answer of it.

Jab We Met Cast and Crew Members Worked under Intense Cold as well as Unbearable Heat

Jab We Met is coming to the screen on Friday. Starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, the movie is based on romantic love story. Another specialty of Jab We Met is that the movie was shot in various locations of India and the cast and crew members had to cope up with new environment and different temperature which was not a easy task. For shooting a part of the movie, the whole Jab We Met team went to Rohtang Pass where they had to work during a sub zero temperature. The place is 13,400 above the sea level. So, upon the arrival of the whole team, director Imtiaz Ali called a day off so that the cast and crew members could assimilate with the new environment.

In contrast, Jab We Met team members had to bear scorching heat as well for the shake of shooting for the movie. No doubt, it was really problematic for the actors and crew members of the team to go under cold and heat within few days. A song was shot under the 50 degree Celsius in Mandava near Jaipur. Special air conditioned vans and busses were arranged for the actors and the team members. The team completed the four day shooting within two days because of such heat. Now, let us see if such hard work of all the members of Jab We Met is paid off in the box office.
