Farhan Akhtan to Cast Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra in ‘Voice From The Sky’

Can you think of a Bollywood movie without a song? Well, whatever you think, the reality is that Bollywood fans are going to see a movie without having any song in it. No, don’t look down upon the director of the movie, because it is none other than Farhan Akhtar, one of the promising directors of the industry. The movie Voice From The Sky will feature Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra in two important roles, but the story of the movie revolves around a child. Farhan Akhtar has not found the child to be features in the lead role of the movie.

Earlier, Farhan Akhtar has directed both Priyaka Chopra and Saif Ali Khan in his movie. Saif was in his 2001 super hit movie Dil Chahta Hai, while Priyanka was in the lead female role of 2006’s super hit Don - The Chase Begins Again. Farhan said that he had been working on the script of Voice From The Sky after making Dil Chahta Hai.

About casting Saif he said, “I thought of Irrfan for the lead. But then Saif seemed a more natural choice. He's apt for the character. After Dil Chahta Hai, we wanted to work together. We did come close to working together in my sister Zoya's film. Finally, Voice From The Sky turned out to be the right movie."
Adding, “I first spoke to Saif about this movie a year ago. At that point of time, he wasn't clear about whether he'd be able to do it. Then one day, out of the blue, he called me and said he can't stop thinking about the script. After that we made an effort to accommodate each other. The project will take off at the end of the year.”

He is excited about signing Priyanka as well, “She is hassle-free and, according to me, still has lots of untapped potential. Her role in Voice From The Sky is very different from whatever she has done so far. It's primarily the story of a little boy. Priyanka and Saif are the two people who come into his life. I'm really looking forward to working with Priyanka and Saif after Don and Dil Chahta Hai.”

Farhan Akhtar will now search for the child to cast in the film. He also added that the on screen chemistry of Saif Ali Khan and Priyanka Chopra would make a difference. The story of the movie will take you to a period of time just after telephone started using in daily life.

Farhan Akhtar to Appear on the Big Screen as Actor in Bollywood Movie

Now, time has come you will see Farhan Akhtar of Don - The Chase Begins Again and Dil Chahta Hai fame in front of camera. Yes, this young director is going to appear in the big screen for the first time this year. In fact, the actor has already signed for three Bollywood movies to be released this year. The movies includes Anand Surapur`s The Fakir of Venice, Abhishek Kapoor`s Rock On and Rituparno Ghosh’s Luck by Chance.

Farhan Akhtar is the son of famous scripwriter, poet and lyricist Javed Akhtar and well-known screen play writer Honey Irani. Farhan Akhtar has already presented some super hit films including Don - The Chase Begins Again, Dil Chahta Hai. He is considered as one of the most promising director of Bollywood as he earned lots of fame as his role behind the camera. Now, let us see if Farhan Akhtar can continue his success in front of camera as well.
