Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2

Dhoom 2, the last blockbuster of Bollywood, has been critically acclaimed and generated immense hit at the box office. The movie was directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and produced by Aditya Chopra. The movie was shot in India, Rio De Janerio, Brazil and South Africa. In the movie, star actor Hrithik Roshan is seen playing the protagonist role of a thief who ahs theft some valuable items in different countries of the world. His next target is Mumbai, India. This talented thief named Aryan who is known as Mr. A, the first letter of his name. He always put a symbol of A in place of whatever he thieves. I think, comparing the other present actors of Bollywood, Hrithik was the best choice for this role as the role not only does deserve actions, rather it demands for an actor with an excellent dancing skill as well as acting skill. Hrithik could apparently make the role more pragmatic to the viewers. His body structure, movement and above all, his frequently changing appearances seen in the movie played the significant role behind the huge success of the movie both in India and abroad. I want to analyze his performance in terms of different aspects which, I think, needed for the best assessment of this role.

Action

After the release of action based movie Krrish, Hrithik got an immense popularity as an actor hero in Bollywood. For Dhoom 2, it was a challenge for this muscle man to prove himself as a consistent action hero. However, it does not need to say that to what extent he was successful this time. Hrithik’s excellent body movement and stunt are excellent. From the beginning of the movie he is seen various action scene with the help of advanced technology. First, he is seen fighting on the roof of a train following his board skating on sand of the desert. Then jumping from the mountain, skating on the crowded roads, going down to the manhole and suddenly come out of the manhole with force of water were some of the picturesque scene. I think, his action scenes are the most attractive things seen in the movie.

Dancing

It has already been proved that after Govinda, Hrithik has created a new trend of dancing in Bollywood. Some of his master dancing performances were also seen in the movie. Especially in the first song of the movie, named Dhoom Machale, Hrithik’s dance is found to be unique. His movement with accordance to the lyrics and rhythm is excellent. His second song in the movie titled Dil Lagana Dil also involves some other stars of the movie- Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Uday Chaopa and Bipasha Basu. However, Hrithik, with his excellent dancing skill, is highlighted more than any other performers of that song.

Acting

Hrithik’s excellent acting in the movie is really praiseworthy. His dialogue delivery and body language has been critically acclaimed. In the movie, he is seen with various costumes in different situations. It is really hard to be adopted with so many differences in a movie which Hrithik has done successfully. His passionate appearance, body language and dialogues were tremendous for the role of thief. I think, he along with his outstanding acting skill helped the movie make a boom at the box office.

Though Hrithik was criticized for his kissing scene with another star of this movie, Aishwarya Rai, his performance in the movie was enough to uplift the craze of the people towards Dhoom 2. I will not be astonished if Hrithik is honored with some prestigious awards for his role in the movie, rather I think he deserves it.
