South Indian film industry is against IIFA 2010 Awards

It seems that India’s most prestigious award ceremony function, IIFA Award, will be criticized as it is going to be organized in Sri Lanka, Colombo. Tamil supporters are now showing strong protest against this event. They are asking everyone to boycott this event.

Recently, South Indian film industry joined the boycott-IIFA chorus. They are also asking Bollywood not to take part in this gala event.

It is also reported that pro-Tamil groups in Tamil Nadu have asked Bollywood to boycott the event that will start from June 3 to 5.

Boycotting the event does not mean that they are against the event that will be organized in Sri Lanka. Behind this protest they showed the evidence of alleged killing of civilian Tamils at the height of conflict between Sri Lankan army and LTTE last year.

Let’s see what will happen next.
