Salman Khan uses horseracing to promote his up coming movie Veer

In Bollywood, actors and movie producers go any distance to promote their movies. They even take many unnecessary risks. Bollywood bad boy, Salman Khan, also did the same thing to promote his upcoming movie, Veer. The 44 year old actor, on January 17th, 2010, raced with top six jockeys at the Mahalakshmi race course to promote his movie Veer. The Bollywood bad boy not only participated in the race but also won the first place. He was awarded a trophy. After winning the trophy, Salman Khan told the reporters:

I was a bit nervous (before the race). If I'd have lost, people would have thought Salman lost the race and if I'd have won then they would have said that he had to win because he is a star,”

Salman told the reporters that the race was not a set up. Like every other contestants of the race, he gave his hundred percent to win. Salman Khan’s next movie, Veer, is an epic action movie and it involved lots of horse riding. In the movie, Salman rode horse along with camels and elephants. Veer tells the story of a courageous Indian warrior clan, the Pindaris. Salman Khan played the role of Veer, who is the most courageous warrior among the Pindaris. The movie created a lot of buzz. In the movie, new comer Zarine Khan has been paired up with Salman Khan. Among others, the veteran Bollywood actor, Mithun Chakravorthy, and Salman Khan’s brother, Sohail Khan, played major roles.
