A Dismal 2009 for Shah Rukh Khan

Shah Rukh Khan has recently turned 44, but the Bollywood superstar has not got the kind of success he was expecting this year. Shooting of a number of movies starring King Khan was delayed mainly because of his shoulder injury that forced him out of work for some time, and that is why, his much-awaited movie My Name is Khan opposite Kajol would be released on 12 February next year, even though the movie was supposed to get released this year. Doctor has asked him not to work for any action stunt in an attempt to keep his shoulder from any more strain, and this is the reason, shooting for Ra one, another upcoming movie starring Shah Rukh, has been postponed.

Moreover, the actor was very ambitious about his IPL franchise Kolkata Knight Riders who disappointed in this year’s tournament. He signed former Australia coach John Buchanan, but his team failed to deliver performance.

Now, one thing is pretty much certain that Shah Rukh Khan would bounce back next year with a number of highly-anticipating movies. It is expected that most of his movies would be box office hit next year. Now, let us see if he can produce similar success with his IPL team too.
