Amitabh Bachchan Protests against Attacks on Indian Students in Australia

Bollywood super star Amitabh Bachchan has refused to take an honorary doctorate degree from Brisbane University, Australia as a protest against attacks on Indian students in Australia. Amitabh Bachchan said that it was impossible for him to accept the degree under the current situation. A series of attacks on Indian students in Australia sparked a huge criticism in India. It was reported that the attack on Indian students were racially encouraged, though Australian police denied the claim.

Well, I think, Amitabh Bachchan has done the right thing by refusing the degree when Indian students are becoming the victim of racism in Australia. Australian government should take necessary steps to keep the situation under control. Otherwise, the diplomatic relationship between two countries could be deteriorated.

I am Australian in physics secialising in lava and fluid movement.

My Indian friends in the arts and my friends in physics hide our friendships sothat we may all be safer.

Two days ago I heard that one of my physics friends died. Last year I received many death threats against him and other friends in Bollywood all because I trained Iraq students.

Australians are so racist eg my husband.
