Review of Bollywood Movie Kidnap

2008 has perhaps been a disastrous year for Bollywood movie. As per as I can say, there has been no big hits in Bollywood this year. Many people are thinking that October will be the month of change. Today, two movies got released. There are big expectations about Kidnap doing well in the box office. I was reading some reviews about this movie. The review at Rediff.com by Elvis D'Silva did nto promise to be very positive about the film. The reviewer thinks that the promo of the movie Kidnap was a good one and it could create some decent amount of interest among people about this movie. However, he thinks that Kidnap has promised too much and has delivered too little. So, he feels that there was no on-screen chemistry between Imran Khan and Minissha Lamba. This is important in a Bollywood movie. Most people like to see some good chemistry between the actor and the actress. So, this may not be good news for the movie. In fact, the reviewer has been very critical about the movie and has given only two stars and in the end, he has said that you should not watch the movie unless there is nothing for you to do.

Rediff wrote:

There is zero chemistry between Khan and Lamba. They exchange a few glances, he catches himself staring at her cleavage a couple of times and really that's about it. If you can stop laughing at the fact that La Lamba breaks into a bump-n-grind at amazingly inappropriate moments, you might notice that she has quite a vast wardrobe of revealing outfits for a girl, who has been kidnapped. Same goes for her harassed mommy who always seems to find time to arrange her cleavage in such a way that we won't notice what a bad job Ms Malvade is doing of attempting even a single expression.

Well, I think, it is a very harsh review. Imran Khan and Minissha Lamba should be given a chance. This year, there was no big hit and most people perhaps have got disinterested about Bollywood movies. Let us see what kind of reaction Kidnap movie gets from the moviegoers.
