Priyadarshan Says Bhool Bhulaiya not a Remake of Chandramukh

There is a speculation that Priyadarshan’s upcoming movie “Bhool Bhulaiya” is going to be a popular Tamil film “Chandramukhi”. Priyadarshan has turned the speculation down saying that Chandramukhi is a trash film that is far away from the original. Actually, Chandramukhi was also a remake of a Malayalam classic Mani Chitra Thazhu. Priyadarshan helped Fazil, the director of Chandramukhi, while making the movie. However, the movie makers changed the story of the movie.

Santabanta reported:
"The truth is that I was pissed off when the media wrote that I was remaking a trash film like "Chandramukhi", whereas the original version is considered a classic even today. I had assisted its director Fazil in the venture.
But the makers of "Chandramukhi" killed Fazil's concept and made it into a Rajnikant-style film because they wanted to cater to the masses.
I have made "Bhool Bhulaiya" by sticking to the original film's concept," Priyan, as he is fondly called by his colleagues, elaborated when we met at Bhushan Kumar's bungalow in the city suburbs.

Priyadarshan claims that Bhool Bhulaiya has been made having connection with the original concept. Bhool Bhulaiya casts Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Amisha patel, Shiny Ahuja etc. in the lead role. However, it was earlier thought about Aishwarya Rai in the role of Vidya Balan. Later Vidya Balan was selected for the movie and is reported to have done impressive work in the movie. Priyadarshan now thinks that it would be a great mistake if Aishwayra was given the role. Now, let us see if Priyadarshan becomes successful with Bhool Bhulaiya in the box office.

Pls get ur facts right. Fazil is NOT the director of Chandramukhi. Chandramukhi was directed by P.Vasu, who damaged the original classic Manichithrathaazhu directed by Fazil and assisted by Priyadarshan.
