Shilpa Shetty Attends in Worship with Her Family

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has recently attended in worship named 'Bhuta Kola' (Worship of Spirits), a common type of worship seen among the Tulu speaking people of some particular areas in India. Shilpa Shetty along with her sister and other family members attended in the worship recently. On this occasion Shilpa Shetty has spent a night experiencing the worship along with her family. DNA India reported:

Shetty, who has visited temples in Udupi district over the past three days, spent Tuesday night witnessing Bhuta Kola with her actress-sister Shamita and other members of her family.

Bhuta Kola is an ancient form of worship among Tulu-speaking people in Udupi, Dakshina Kannada in Karnataka and Kasargod in Kerala.

During the ceremony, a person impersonating the 'Bhuta' behaves like an incarnation of the spirit, listening to and solving the problems of devotees as well as warning and comforting them.

In an informal chat with reporters in Tulu, Shilpa said all preparations to organise the ritual had been completed four months ago, even before she left for London to participate in the reality TV show 'Celebrity Big Brother'.

Shilpa Shetty has recently been the headlines creating a controversy over her on stage kissing with Hollywood actor Richard Gere at a function organized for increasing awareness for HIV/AIDS. The incident has already been in the court and court has sent summons to both the actors asking them to present in the court.
