Guru Premiere: Mallika Sherawat vs Aishwarya Rai

There is just a few days before the world premiere of Guru. I hope that many of you already know that the world premiere is going to be held on Toronto on Jan 11, 2006- that means next week. Naturally, the actors and actresses of the movie are supposed to join the premiere in Canada. It seems that Mallika Sherawat is not welcome there. Well, I know it is old news and I am giving an excerpt from a report of Hindustan Times:

Invites are being readied for the premiere of Mani Ratnam’s Guru in Toronto, Canada, and Mallika Sherawat and Vidya Balan are apparently not on the list.

A source associated with Guru, which stars Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and R Madhavan, said, “Aishwarya doesn’t want Mallika to steal all the attention with her publicity gimmicks. That’s why Mallika wasn’t present at the film’s music launch either.”

Frankly, I am not a big fan of Mallika Sherawat at all and I like Aishwarya Rai much much more than Mallika. Mallika is more serious to show her body than learning serious acting. However, I do not like the idea of leaving Mallika Sherawat out of the premiere of Guru. She acted in the movie- hadn’t she? She has an important role in the movie too.

What is your idea about it?

Mallika Sherawat is not a apolitician, she is a actor/entertainer and demand to be treated as one. She is a wonderful actress and should be credited for her efforts on the same platform.
