Bollywood Filmmaker Sandeep Marwah Seeking Actress in Wales

Indian filmmaker Sandeep Marwah has recently visited Wales and expressed his desire to get an actress from Wales to involve in Bollywood movies. He has visited Wales to find some good location for filming his movie. He thinks that Bombay has been used much in the Bollywood movies. Now, it has been needed to include some different places for Bollywood. BBC reported:

"I am looking for a girl from Wales to be the opposite of [act with] Sanjay Kapoor in a Bollywood film," he said.

"I've been shown some fantastic locations and I would love to shoot in Wales," he said.

These are virgin locations, we are fed up of using Bombay and other locations for our films, we have used them enough."

If he finds a suitable Welsh actress, she will star with Sanjay Kapoor, who is also Mr Marwah's brother-in-law and became a big Bollywood name in the mid-1990s.

Welsh Enterprise Minister Andrew Davies said the visit by Mr Marwah was to encourage links between Wales and the Bollywood film industry.

But he denied the controversy over racism faced by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty faced in the Big Brother house would affect filmmaking in the UK by Indian film companies.

"There is a lot of goodwill between Britain and India and I don't think the Big Brother thing will have a serious impact," he said.”

It seems good that Bollywood filmmaker is trying to give something different to the fans. It proves that Bollywood is spreading in the world beyond its own territory.
