Amitabh Bachchan to be Awarded the Prestigious Legion d'Honour

Amitabh Bachchan, the legend of Bollywood, is going to be honored with the prestigious award Legion d'Honour on 27 of January. The awar giving ceremony will be held in Delhi. Almost all members of his family are expected to be with him that time including his would be sister-in-law Aishwarya Rai. In his recent speech he talked about the Abhishek-Aishwarya marriage and his happiness over the things seen in the last year. Mumbai Mirror reported Big B’s speech:

He further adds, "I feel very happy with all that has happened in my life this year. Abhishek's decision to settle down in life was good. All Jaya's and my prayers are with him and Aishwarya." Talking about the wedding date he says, "We haven't confirmed any date as yet." But the date will be fixed soon.

Bachchan is overwhelmed by the recent honour that he has been bestowed with. "It's being done at the French embassy and they're also screening the Oscar-winning French film March Of The Penguins. It's an incredible piece of art. We know so little about the behaviour of the penguins. The film's director Luc Jacquet will also be coming. We'll first release the DVD, and then the film will be shown. I've given the commentary in both English and Hindi. For American audiences the English commentary had been done by Morgan Freeman. But for India they wanted me for both languages. After the screening of the film, we'll move to another section of the embassy for the award," says Bachchan.

It seems that Mr. Bachchan is going through some of his best time in his lifetime. Getting a daughter-in-law like Aishwarya and competing with the son-like actors in the industry is rally something beyond one’s expectation. Go on Mr. Bachchan.
