Action Cinematographer Vikram Dharma’s Last Work in Mani Ratnam’s Guru

Mani Ratnam’s incoming movie Guru is the last movie for the famous action cinematographer Vikram Dharma. He died in June 2006, so this will be his last work for his glorious career. He was both popular in the southern films and Bollywoood films. His notable work is seen in HUMSE HAI MUQABLA and HINDUSTANI, Yuva ect. I am quoting some from a glamsham report:

“A known name in both South and Mumbai made films; Vikram Dharma started his Hindi film career with Govinda starrer PRATEEKSHA [1993]. His claim to fame came in 1994 when his superb stunts for HUMSE HAI MUQABLA [KADHALAN in Tamil] were much appreciated.

Later he became a popular name down South with films like INDIAN and RATCHAKAN while in Hindi movies, he reached the zenith of success with YUVA [2004]

His work was last seen in 2006 release FIGHT CLUB where he came up with some of the most exciting kicks and punches for an all-male film that had as many 10 protagonists. The film was appreciated for the innovative approach it took towards kick boxing.

While GURU is Vikram Dharma's last film for which he choreographed action, his work would also be seen in Big B's long delayed ZAMAANAT.”

This is a sad news that one expert gone from Bollywood who have given many things to Bollywood. It is the duty of Bollywood authority to remember him with due respect.
