Guru Set to Be World Premiered in Canada

Guru, an incoming bollywood movie starred by Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai and directed by famous director Mani Ratnam, is set for world premiere in January 11 in Canada. A Canada based production company has owned the right of the movie in the country and now the company holds each and every right of the movie including TV, theatrical and also video rights. I am quoting some lines from a movies.monstersandcritics report related to this news:

The film will be screened at the Elgin & Winter Garden Theatre Centre, where most Hollywood films are premiered, with the cast and crew in attendance.

Roger Nair Productions has acquired the Canadian rights of 'Guru' from Bobby Bedi's Kaleidoscope Entertainment. It is touted as a path breaking deal between Canada and India, in the process making Canada an official territory for Bollywood films.

The company has entered the distribution market in a big way for Canada territory and will be buying Bollywood films for North America and Europe as well.

It is also in negotiations with some other top Indian filmmakers for acquiring the rights of their films. The company, which is acquiring absolute theatrical, video and TV rights, will also ensure legal right to curb piracy with the help of local police and the justice system.

The movie Guru is thought to be the first hit movie of the next year. Its high profile artists and the director himself can be a great advertisement for the movie. So, it can easily be predicted that the movie will make a boom in the Bollywood box office.
